Q: On a duromax xp12000hx will i have to remove the generator's muffler to attach a 1 inch flexible pipe to go to this exhaust pipe, how can i connect?

This "through the wall" device does not connect to the generator. You drill/cut a hole through the building wall, install this in the hole, then use a flexible exhaust pipe and the appropriate fitting (bolted onto your generator's muffler output) so you can route the exhaust out of the building. This does not physically connect to any generator, it connects to an exhaust pipe/exhaust tube that comes from the generator.

This listing includes the through wall assembly, the two flat plate (that can be used as supports on the inner mounting surface), and the clamp. All these items are in the main photo.

Q: I have genexhaust 1" steel exhaust extension, will this work to attach them together ?

I'm not sure what you're asking. The extension I hooked up for my brothers garage was used with a 1" flex steel 5' piece. Then clamped on his generator. We wanted that the generator could stay in place for snow storms. This is for venting thru a 6" wall. This unit is then hooked to that 5' flex pipe. The flex pipe inside the garage isn't insulated but makes it warmer when freezing out. Nice for when gassing the generator. I also wrapped a thin layer of exhaust pipe insulation for leak prevention. He went through a one week, twice without power both times with no problems. The main thing is no exhaust leaks without ventilation!

Q: Can this be used to vent a generator inside a cargo van?

Using an appropriate hose and fasteners, you could probably use it to vent through any wall less than 5" thick or so, including a cargo van. HOWEVER, a cargo van has a small airspace, so if your connections leaked even a small amount, it could quickly become deadly. You would at least want a CO detector in there if humans or animals are present.
