Metaphysics: A Guide and Anthology

Bought this for a class at University of Oxford and it goes even beyond what we needed for the class. It is an excellent anthology with a broad range of voices spanning the ages. Well worth the purchase price as a reference for years to come.

Ordered this anthology for my metaphysics course. I learned about universals, dualism and substance. These essays will blow your mind!

Hard Read!

the book was bigger than I expected, but; it is really good, lots of interesting topics and surprisingly some pictorials as well.

Working my way through this book I am no longer sure whether this review is real or not. Anyway if you are a conscious and real person reading this then from one sentient being to another I can recommend it, if you wish to brush up on what reality is and how we perceive it.

Just one word: very good!!!

I bought this book for my own library and for a course I am now taking in Metaphysics. Some of these readings are new to me and others in the book are just a refresher after years reading them at university. I strongly recommend this well thought compilation of authors. Excellent printing and paper quality. Yes, these are difficult topics and a difficult field, which has evolved enormously in recent years. It’s unavoidable though not to revise the wisdom from past western philosophy. It would also be great present!
