Nice idea but doesn't balance very well
This is a good idea and an attractive design but there's a bit of a problem with the way the base balances. What you'd really want in an educational toy that teaches balancing and dexterity is something that wobbles a bit and leans to one side when the loading is uneven. This doesn't sit properly straight when unloaded or equally loaded, so it doesn't quite do that. Other from that, it's well made and colourfully painted so no complaints about the quality of the pieces - it's just not very good at doing what we bought it to do.

Balance boat
I usually love Hape products but one of the circular elements does not fit the post properly so the children cannot do this puzzle without an adults help. The children enjoy it very much though. Ideal for 3yrs +
