Well ya know... I always like puns.... get it? "door = door with a 'handle' ie. 'flexible fastener'"I have always been so "old school" that I have had to rely upon a simple piece of fastener hardware that I could barely get my fingers around to tighten or loosen at a later date. When I needed a 3/8 inch wing nut it just could not be found. So I happened upon these beauties. Yea, they have been around for a while but somehow I missed them. Thing is they have so many more uses than the vendors here might tell you!For example- I have this 8 ft. 4 X 4 post at the edge of our property. From this post I have extended a 5 ft 2 X 4 which has 2 other 2 X 4's fastened to it. These are hangers for 3-D geometrics strung with solar powered fairy lights. Am about to modify this structure by adding a rotating mechanism that can be easily adjusted. The only way this is possible is by having a 3/8 in bolt of substantial length and these 5-sided knobs!These are certainly not only for jigs, hold-down clamps etc. they have many other creative uses as well! FYI: Was a custom cabinet-maker for about 8 years before starting business in of all things... ornamental pond construction and maintenance!

Bought these for some DIY corn hole boards I made as gifts...such a better look than just a threaded nut, and certainly more user-friendly. Much easier to secure the legs in place...I'll be using these from here on out.
