I can't believe how excellent this meter is for the low cost. The display is stunning. The button cycles through different ways of presenting basically the same info.One improvement I would suggest to the manufacturer is adding (in software) a display choice that's upside-down relative to the other choices. I find that the screen on a dangling cable shows the information upside-down somehow more than 50% of the time :-) I suspect this is not as hard as designing a "portrait orientation" display choice, to give four options for viewing, but if they did, it would be pretty handy.What an amazing world that can support such a beautiful and affordable and niche tool.

Device itself is great, the only pain is screen plastic: it scratches easyly an deep just when cleaning it.

There are some better meters out there for about $20 that have more USB connector types on them that provide some additional info, like PD/QC power profile, but this one is smaller, less expensive, and less complicated. It’s fine when you need the voltage in use, the current draw in amps, and want a mAh/mWh capacity estimate based on V x I over time, and you’re either only using USB-C or have an adapter.I have this simple inexpensive meter, and a much more expensive $90 meter/analyzer for more elaborate measurements. But this cheap one gets more use.

My family was constantly complaining that chargers don't work for them or were too slow.This has made it easy to weed out the sub-par cords and bunk chargers. I was also able to use this to show them the difference between a cheap low wattage cables and chargers compared to the better higher wattage fast chargers and appropriately rated cables, so they'll stop buying the cheapest junk they can find and then complaining to me that their phones and tablets charge slowly. This dad gives it two thumbs up.I also like that the display can change rotation with a double click so it's easy to read regardless of orientation

One of the first things that I checked with it was the charger for my phone. I get an error on the phone with any other charger. The charger itself is marked for 9V/5V. For the first time, I found out that the phone's charger starts off fast charging at 9V and ends up with 5V. I would never have realized that without this tester.

Very basic but good gor volts, amps, watts. The small cord makes it less strain on one port so less possible damage.Screen is small, text small but readable.

I bought three and tried them out. ThenI bought one for every USB device charger in the house. When a device (cell phone, camera, tablet, whatever) is on its charger I can clearly see what the charge status it and when to unplug it. Really a must have item at a stocking stuffer price. I ordered some more for just that purpose this Christmas.

I thought this would be an interesting gadget to measure the effectiveness of charging USB-based devices.But it seems to be an inhibitor in and of itself when in-between the charger and the device. For example, I have a powered multi-USB charging hub (HITRENDS 8 Ports Charging Station 60W/12A Multi Port USB Charging Hub #B07HK7WWFS) and when charging my Fitbit or my Ring Video Doorbell, there is a significant slow down if using this "diymore" gadget in-between. When I remove the "diymore", device charging is much faster.
