Q: It says it's machine washable, but wouldn't that be disgusting in your machine? How do you do this and keep your washer clean for clothes after?

The two layers unsnap. It’s usually just dumping the kicked out litter back in box. But if a mess occurred then I spit clean prior to washing it. I only wash the bottom layer. You can wipe or hose off the top layer. I have two of these and highly recommend.

Q: Any advice on how to remove the creases from shipping? Wish the would have rolled them instead.

I buy litter in 40-42 pound boxes/cases. I sat the litter where the crease was. Left it there for a day and then moved it to the area it didn’t cover. I have no creases on either mat - even my large one. BTW I have a kitty that loves to lay on them and threw up twice all over them. Made for quite a mess and had to wash the bottoms. I now use the mats without the attaching under covers and I find it works even better for me. Once a week I just lift up the mat and take a broom and clean up the litter and put it back in their litter box.

Q: Is there a way to buy extra bottom layers only?
