Awful
This movie is absolutely terrible. It is a disgrace to the original film. If you are going to make a movie about medical students then you should at least have the base knowledge of what medical students can and cannot do like prescribe medication. This movie is ridiculous.

Horrible!
They should've left this cult classic alone.

You're more likely to love it, than hate it.
Yeah, I completely agree with what other people, who gave this higher ratings, said. I don't know why so many people didn't like this movie, it truly is a good movie. Yes, it's similar to the original, but it's not the same. There are enough differences to make this a worthy remake of the first. You can't compare the two because they're two different movies, they just have the same idea.I LOVED the first one, it was my favorite movie back in the day. So, with comparison or not, this remake was still a good movie and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Even my husband, who is super critical of movies since he has a Master's in the industry, thoroughly enjoyed it.Don't be swayed by the bad reviews, just watch it for yourself. I would have to say that you're more likely to like it or love it, than hate it.

Terrible
The original movie was great. This reboot was terrible. I felt it was boring, poorly made & poorly executed.

Updated Characters
The acting was very good quality. The plot was interesting. If you have never seen the original version then you will probably enjoy this film more than if you have. I'm trying to rate this based on what I think I would give it if I had never seen the original film. I liked this updated version for the characters but not the updated plot.

When remakes make the original even better
This remake is absolutely horrible! I would give this zero stars if I could. This remake is a little more on the actual medical side of things, but I still love the original MUCH better! The one thing I did like, but was ruined, was seeing Kiefer Sutherland reprise his role, but the thing that ruined that was him going by Dr. Barry Wolfson instead of Dr. Nelson Wright. If they would've gone by his original name/character, I would've liked that a whole lot more because of the things he says to his new med students. I think it also would've been good to go by his original character because it would make this feel more like a sequel and tie things together a lot better and make it a little more interesting. There were a couple scenes that made me jump, but that was the only thing that this movie made me feel. As for the acting in this movie, it's absolutely terrible! I used to think Ellen Page was a good actress, but the last few things I've seen her in including this shows that she's really a one dimensional type of actress. I don't recommend this movie to anybody unless you're like me and need to see for yourself. I suggest you rent before you buy and then decide if you want to waste your time and money on this.

Marlo finally realized her purpose in life
It's to be Rogue One guy's bed warmer. She was a failure of a medical student, and the only thing she was good at was being hot and not being Ellen Paige (which is a really low bar tbh). Three stars alone goes to this for Ellen Paige dying, even if it is only a film, sadly. I want to salute Chad, who had to kiss her in that one scene before finally hooking up with a strong wxmyn of coluour who don't need no man (but got a bellyfull of one anyway). 5/5 because it made me realize how to get rid of my annoying sister without anyone finding out, and how to get rid of ellen paige without anyone finding out. **** SPOILERS ABOVE DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVENT SEEN ****

Underwhelming at Best
What can I say? The original was hard to top. I think that this movie opened so many doors to so many awesome storylines that were NEVER developed. The end happened and nothing was wrapped up. It left a lot to be desired as they never came back to the ideas introduced early on in the film. The acting was decent, the options for an epic story was there, but it underdelivered and underwhelmed. If you are expecting a remake of the original--don't. The filmmakers did, at least, get that right.
