Dated Well
Has dated fairly well. Into the Blue is my favourite track.

Ethereal stuff.
Another floated in through the bedroom window from another planet album, astonishing and gorgeous.

Worth a listen.
Had not heard of this Scottish band but read a +ve revue of a recent re-union. Bought the album on the strength of the review and not disappointed. Very listenable and memorable in parts.

a massively overlooked album
A Top twenty smash BITD. This is a thoroughly beautiful and weird album. Anthemic 90s radioheady guitar rock punctuated with minimal dubby excursionbs, topped off with THAT voice.

A beautiful rediscovery after nearly 20 years
I never do reviews on here but was so moved I had to write something about it. This is a beautiful album I've rediscovered nearly 20 years after I first used to listen to it thanks to Steve Lamacq on 6Music. Of its time and the indie scene it was part of but strangely timeless too. There are few better voices in pop and Andrew Montgomery is up there with Thom Yorke and Jeff Buckley. There's even an element of Bowie in his tunes, though Andrew has said Bowie was a big inspiration. My personal favourites are Into the Blue, Further and Natures Whore but pretty much all of the songs on here are fantastic. So glad I've found this album again, it's been on repeat for the last few days and improves with each listen

Joyous
Utterly lovely. Astonishing combination of incredibly falsetto voice (but strongly delivered), with wonderful melodies and playing. And great live - saw them at Glastonbury in '97, they really rocked. This should have been massive, massive, massive. This album breaks my heart whilst lifting my soul every time I hear it.Comparisons? I think the reviewer who mentioned the Associates was on the right tracks, except this is not so gauche. Somewhere between there and early Radiohead. If you like this, also check out Puressence.Oh, and Montgomery's speaking voice is completely normal, not high at all!

10 years on and still amazing
I have now owned this album for 10 years and still play it regularly. Montgomery's voice is simply breathtaking and had me captivated as soon as the 'oooooooooooh' on the opening track Temporary Wings first burst through my speakers in the summer of '97. Please please get this album, it's beautiful.
