A real review
So... I am a huge fan of the Google Pixel phones and before that I was a big fan of the Nexus line (what they called Pixels before there were Pixels). Once I had a phone that was equipped with Android the way it was ment to be (no bloat ware, security patches when they are available from Google, not when my carrier and phone manufacturer gets around to it) I couldn't live without it. Unfortunately I can't afford a brand new pixel the day they come out so recently I have been buying my phones "renewed" vs. refurbished from Amazon. My only complaint about the renewed phone is that the battery always seems to be a bit used up, but hey, I bought a renewed phone so I can't complain too much, right? Well this time around I was trying to buy a pixel 7 pro (that's what I typed in the search bar) and I needed it the next day. I was paying more attention to the delivery date than the model and I wound up with a new pixel 7 not pro. I live the camera on the 6 and 7pros so once I realized my mistake I was sure I was going to return it, but figured I may give the battery a shot. Well, I am damn glad I kept it. I would up with the same security and built in VPN as the 7 pro, but the difference in a new battery life was well worth the little bit extra I paid. Before I was always carrying a portable battery and since I got a new phone there hasn't been a single day where I have felt like I needed it. The deal was great, way cheaper than buying directly from Google and I am very pleased, I will still end up buying at least the 8pro when I destroy this one, but let's hope that is at least a year away!

Don't buy. Waste of money.
It's not an unlocked phone. It had a Verizon sim card in the phone. We have had nothing but trouble trying to get this phone to work with our carrier. I'm beginning to think this phone wasn't new but used.

Read the note in the box
I thought it wasn't unlocked as it came up with the verizon notification when I started it. By chance there was a note on the inside of the lid of the package box. It states you must take out the sim card it comes with and replace it with you own. Almost returned it due to this missed detail.

Meh
Google doesn't seem to try anymore. From their maps, search engine, products and other software... Everything is getting worse and worse. My first pixels were great. The next one was good. The newest Pixel 7 I got has so many little software issues. Mostly annoying but the phone still works and is fairly cheap.

Is it truly unlocked
So far so good. I have a 7 and now so does my brother. 100 percent brand new. Now let's see if we can move his # to this phone with Verizon. Easily.
