Great machine!
Super fast, great quality prints, and full-duplex, too! Scanner works great. Haven't tried FAXing anything (that's a very rare need, indeed), but it's good to know it's there.Couldn't be happier, and a 3-year factory warranty, too! What's not to like?

MANY GREAT FEATURES
Excellent printer with many features. Wireless connectivity is excellent as its print quality. The level of noise is minimum. I am surprise of the value, really affordable for all the integrated features. The scanning and printing speed is great. Really happy with my purchase.

Long lasting and reliable, zero issues.
I have bought several home use printers and been overwhelmingly disappointed each time. The ink never lasts, there are constant comparability issues, etc. this printer has been the first one that consistently works as expected every time. Setup is really easy, and my wife and I are both able to effortlessly print from our phones anywhere in the house. That’s a feature that other printers have advertised but have always been too difficult to set up for what it’s worth. I have used this printer heavily for the last several months, to include print jobs several hundred pages. The original toner is still kicking out bold prints with no issues and no blur or fade. Doesn’t have color options, but considering the low cost of use and the reliability it’s a small price to pay. Would purchase again without hesitation.

Prints well/ fast - The scanner (and software) are useless...
I have to scan many documents of a variety of paper sizes and I'm having a heck of a time doing that because I have to constantly run back and forth from the machine to the computer terminal, clearing errors all the time! The warnings are so frequent that the scanner is barely usable! I honestly feel like I was scammed!I was always under the impression that Canon produced good products, but they must have been on vacation when they designed this multifunction machine! The printer is fine. No complaints there. The scanner and software is so bad, I half believe that they intentionally designed it this way to aggravate users! If the slightest thing is unexpected it halts your scan process and you cannot proceed unless you provide input from the computer (which is not always next to the machine Canon)! You cannot clear the error from the scanner which is ridiculous! That's where your performing the task! Also, in this day and age, computers have enough memory and processing power to allow for automatic cropping (and de-skew), doing away with the need to specify the paper size! Using microswitches and the contrast of paper from the scanner bed background via imaging, it should be fairly easy to determine or at least estimate paper size to the nearest likely size. If you don't set the paper size correctly when using the flat bed, it throws a warning and requires user interaction, again at the computer terminal! At the very least, they could give us the option to NOT halt the job when there is warning (no interaction required) OR allow the user to clear the error at the machine itself! The communication between the computer and the machine appears to not be synchronized properly or severely delayed because after a considerably amount of time, it throws a warning stating that "originals were left in the feeder" when attempting to load the next batch. The software thinks you just inserted originals immediately after the previous job when it was 30 sec to 60 sec ago! So I have to wait more than a minute before I can load the next job to avoid a warning that (you guessed it) requires user interaction at the computer terminal??? Seriously???On top of that, sometimes the automatic feeder grabs more than one sheet at a time and damages originals because the "throat" is not entirely smooth! There are edges in there! Why???And could it hurt to allow scanning of non-standard paper lengths like banners for example? Give us a banner mode!I would expect better from Canon! To summarize: the scanner is not up to modern standards and was not designed with productivity and workflow in mind (perhaps to anger users), there should be auto-crop, auto-de-skew, auto-blank page detection standard in a modern scanner, and at the very least, allow clearing errors from the machine which is where your physically doing the scanning! Can I have my money back please??

I like the speed and 2-sided copying
As the headline says the speed and ability to copy 2-sided documents is great. Although the whole idea of using a FAX seems outdated, there have been occasions when I need to fax a document - and fax is the most secure way to electronically send a document.I have wired ethernet in my home office so I just plugged in the network cable and the printer grabbed an IP address from my router (via DHCP) and was ready to go. It was immediately available to print from my iPhone. As some reviewers said the software installation can be a little confusing. One of the steps is to choose one (or more) drivers for the printer. There really is no simple description between the 3 drivers to help you decide. I chose all three and ended up with 3 different Canon printers showing in my Windows 11 PC. I just used the first one to print and it works just fine. I'll probably remove the other 2 to avoid confusion. I recommend you just choose the first driver unless you know what the others do.One of my first uses was to print some address labels. I really liked the ability to load more than one blank label pages in the secondary feeder rather than the usual one-at-a-time found on my old multi-function printer. The back of the printer opens up to keep the label pages from curling up and possibly jamming the printer. When I first tried labels for some reason the printer thought there was a paper jam (there wasn't) and the process of clearing the jam was a little crazy. The screen required me to go through a bunch of steps and keep pressing next. I couldn't figure out how to circumvent all the steps and it 'sensed' when I completed each step - like take out the toner cartridge. The touch screen could use a lot of improvement. If you are used to using a smart phone screen you will be a little frustrated with this printer's screen. I doesn't seem to work all the time. Did I press that button already? Why didn't that work? Just slow down and use deliberate presses to avoid some frustration.I purchased this during Prime Days at an extremely attractive price. I look forward to trying out more of the features such as 2-sided scanning and higher resolution printing. I still wonder if it will do 2-sided fax too.
