Heals skin cuts quickly
I bought this device for the cold sore, but the cold sore hasn't come back yet.I have used the red light for a skin cut on my finger and tongue, and the blue light for a dark spot on my face. On pulse mode only. It's been a month. So far, it works wonders on skin/tongue cuts. The dark spots are not fading yet.I like the 5-minute auto shut-off. The two different tips are useful. It has a metal body and is well-built. Only one battery is included. Asked the seller questions and they responded quickly. I still can't figure out how and when to use the other waves. I sure hope the instructions will cover more. It would be nice if it came with a pair of protective glasses.I will keep updating my review and change the rating accordingly.I don't use this device for treating muscle/joint pain because I have a few massage guns that did wonders for me.Thanks to other reviewers who made it easier for me to decide which brand to purchase.

Sturdy, well-made, results may vary
Review of red light from the LOONLAI StoreThis device is impressively well-made. It has a sturdy aluminum housing, a lens at the end of the attachment (they could have skimped and just made it a hollow tube), and the parts fit together well although it can take a little bit of strength to unscrew them. It's the first USB-rechargeable device I've ever owned that came with not only a removeable battery but a spare. What I normally hate about rechargeable devices is that if I miss charging them for too long, they become useless. In a lot of them, you can't even remove the battery with standard tools. With an extra battery, this one is ready for a trip or ready for the inevitable time when I leave the light go without charging it and a battery dies.I am assuming, based on the quality of the parts that I can see, that the wavelengths given off are true to what are advertised. Unfortunately, I have no way to measure them. While light therapy is pretty new to healthcare, there is scientific data showing that certain wavelengths do have certain affects on the human body including reduced inflammation and promotion of healing. It might take some dedication to see results, though. I also don't know how results from a product designed to be used by the consumer in their own house compare to those from a doctor's office. Still, for the price of a single doctor visit, I'll get whatever results I can from my own device rather than making multiple trips to an office. To install the battery, the handle unscrews in the middle, at the line right below the USB port. There's a little plus sign on the lid. Find the plus side of the battery and install with that end facing the lid.The instructions could be better written, but I was able to piece together how to operate it. There are multiple modes and after each color selection, pushing the button again changes from a steady light to a pulsing light which the instructions say is more beneficial. The instructions also say to let it rest after every 5 minutes of use. The light will remember your selection after you turn it off so you get the same one when it's turned back on.I was worried when the listing said it only had 5 LEDs. That didn't sound very bright or very effective. After having seen it, though, I don't have any question in my mind that the lights are bright enough to do some good. Creepily, they are bright enough and penetrate the skin well enough that I can see the blood vessels in my wrist illuminated with the light.

Works for spot treatment
I find this works well for spot treatment. It is not a quick fix, but requires dedicated use.
