主人公は、1型糖尿病を患いながらも活躍する女医。彼女の夫は、心臓外科のエース。一見、幸せに満ちた暮らしだったが、術後一見問題なく思える患者が次々に亡くなり、それを探っていくうちに、予想外の真実が明らかになる。命に関わることのない病気の入院患者がつぎつぎ亡くなり、実はその裏にというのは、ロビンクックではよくあるパターンですが、この作品では珍しく、動機に利害が絡んでません。術後の非常に無防備な状態を想像すると、怖さがつのります。

I hope the contents of the book make up for its tattered cover .Pages are yellow as expected as this was a used product but overall except for the cover the book is in good shape and the print size of the font is good.

It is just want I needed to complete my collection. Now I can finish read all of this author books in this series.

I think it was an easy read and kept my attention. It seemed that what the main character was suffering from could very well happen in the real world. That is why this book is so believable and also scary. I very much appreciated Dr. Cook bringing this awareness to the fore.

Godplayer is a medical mystery masterpiece. Written in a modern era and highlighting important issues like equality and sexual orientation, it is straight forward and realistic.I loved everything about it with no hangups at all.
