If I could give zero stars I would.You see the controller is very simple. Connected the SATA power connector and then up to 8 fans. In my case (excuse the pun) my Corsair 460x RGB has six fans installed and is a little noisy when they all run at full speed.As a result, I purchased this not only to make cable management easier but as it advertises the fact you can select between "Low - Off - High" in that order.In my experience, "Off" and "High" made no difference at all. However when I selected "Low" acrid smoke immediately filled the case as the insulation on one of the fan wires started melting. Obviously I turned the PC off and this hub ended up in the bin. Thankfully no lasting damaged was done to the fans or the PC
