Intel installed a Super Poorly Made Fan
This replacement fan fit my Intel NUC NUC8i7BEH. Just note, the noise you experienced WILL happen again. Why? Because these fans do not have ball bearings on the shaft. The shaft is simply a pin with a nylon sleeve pressed into windings that will wear out and oiling it will be of no help because of the slop that develops from friction over time. This causes vibration and once that happens there's no remedy but to buy another one of these fans to stop the noise (see attached photo). Intel strikes again with making products using cheap components.The good news is that this replacement fan fixes the vibration noise. The bad news is that it will fail again assuming another component doesn't fail first, like the M.2 slot that failed on my NUC.

Works perfectly
I had a "squealing" fan in my NUC8 that was driving me crazy, and SpeedFan was reporting high CPU core temps. After replacing the fan with this one, my NUC is completely silent - at least to my old ears :-) - and CPU core temps are down significantly. There are excellent online instructions for disassembling a NUC and replacing the fan, so don't be afraid to try this.
