How well does this work? Pretty well. Much better than moving the ladder every few feet and using your arms but you're still going to have to move the ladder quite a bit. It can also be awkward to be using a long pole with 2 hands while standing on a ladder so you need to be careful.You get about 6-8 feet of reach before it sort of becomes useless because you need to be a foot or 2 higher than the gutter to reach over the gutter support brackets.-There is a scraping blade and a blunt hook that work in combination to move debris past your support brackets. The scraping blade works pretty well although if it was longer and more curved, you wouldn't have to lift the pole as high. The blunt hook could be better as the small diameter doesn't really push the debris that well. The blunt hook probably should be a wider silicone mop brush.-Build quality is excellent. It is thick, hard plastic and shouldn't break.-The threads should work on any standard screw pole. It installs fine onto my unger pole.

The angle is wrong if you are working from a ladder and shoulders at gutter hight. It is angled correctly for standing on the roof with feet at gutter height.Needs either an adjustable pivot where it connects to the pole or simply be molded at a more appropriate angle.

Pro: The tool is designed just to clean gutters. I placed my ladder in the middle of my gutter length and cleaned the close area first with my hands, the way I usually do. With the hawg attached to a paint pole, I used the hoe end to push some of the gutter debris toward me. I then flipped the tool over, so I could use the longer end to push the debris under the metal strap that attaches the gutter. That longer bit helps you move the debris toward you easily so you can reach it and dump it. Kind of ingenious.Pro: I'm not partial to moving ladders and going up and down ladders. With this tool, I could clean an entire length of gutter with only two moves, placing it first in the middle, where I could reach one end and most of the other, and then at the drain pipe end to finish it off properly. No going up and down. No trying to find a level place over and over and mushing my flowers.Pro: I was able to reach and clean out a tricky spot over some stairs that I've never been able to get to before which has always been a problem area causing door leaks. !!!! For that alone, this is worth the twenty bucks.Pro: Cleaning gutters is not my favorite job. Anything that makes the task a little easier is well worth it.Pro: This screwed on easily to an old paint pole I had. I had a very long reach, but the plastic is lightweight so it was still quite maneuverable.Pro: After you've whooshed with it, simply hang it from the gutter while you lift out the debris. Very convenient.I do like the bamboo I planted, but it sheds constantly. Having this device is going to make a task I should do at least every two months a task I actually might do at least every two months.No more plants growing in gutters.
