Q: Installed this in a wall that has regular insulation in it will this cause a fire hazard?

This will not cause a fire hazard. The product is designed and certified to be used in normal wall cavities, including ones with insulation.

Q: Considering a surface raceway to conceal/secure external power cord. Any recommendations or other suggestions? No furniture to hide behind.

I purchased the following item for the same reason. One outlet is hidden by the TV that is hung on the wall and the other is down by the electrical outlet that is near the floor. The outlet near the floor can be hidden by furniture, if you like, or it can remain in plain sight like any other outlet. Q: Can I back out the wall plate to run an additional cable? Or are these a one time install?

You can remove the units from the wall and we suggest you do so when pulling additional cables. In order to remove the units, turn the screws 1.5 turns to the left, then press in on the face plate with your fingers and turn an additional 0.5 turns to the left, this will allow the tab wings to release from the back side of the drywall and move back to their nested position. You will then be able to remove the units from the wall.

Q: I would like to use this to mount 75 inch tv above a gas fireplace. Is this the one I would need to do that?

As long as the wall above the gas fireplace is sheetrock on a stud wall, this product will do the trick nicely. For a kit like this to work you need to be able to fish the power cable behind the wall.
