Works just fine in an X99 board. Hynix is reputable. No issues at all.

Great ram for X99 gaming pc
I paired this ram with a Machinist X99 motherboard and a Xeon E5-2580 V4 14 core for building some gaming pcs and they have been great. Highly recommend if you can get a 16gb stick for around $25.

Make sure you order the right RAM!
Listen RAM sticks are kinda all the same, its the honest truth. The thing about RAM sticks that can cause a problem is the user and a lack of knowledge or just plain out rushing to get something too quickly and not noticing a small number change or a something missing. In my case I completely blanked that ram for laptops is going to be called SO-DIMM and ordered DIMM ram by mistake. That one is completely on me and while the ram that arrived was packaged great and looked every bit ready to be installed it was about twice the size of what I needed. Again that is all on me.Before you go shopping for RAM make sure you're ordering the right stuff. Check and then double check and if it all matches up then order it.

Computer wont read the ram sticks
Swapped out from 4gb to 16gb sticks and computer wouldnt read them. Same brand and model, just different ram amounts. As soon as I put the 4gb stick in the slots, computer works fine. Disappointed, guess i'll go with a slightly more expensive but more reputable brand and see if that works.

It’s ECC RAM, and it works.
Got this for use in my NAS with ZFS. It’s working great so far and appears to be a great value.
