They do the Job
I bought these to keep the moles away and they do work no mole hole in my lawnI still can not believe it would work I really thought this product would be a waste of money especially living in the country with even more moles well I must say it’s proved me wrong. And it works well Good product

Seems to be working well
First set arrived and one had a broken switch so returned & reordered. Super easy to use and seems to be working as no new molehills since using but only been a few days. I would say the beeping noise might get annoying if using in a small garden but I have a field so far away enough from the house that I don't hear it. Wanted a more humane way of controlling the moles rather than killing them so would recommend.

Absolute Rubbish.
My photo speaks for itself, the only way this product stops moles is the fact the the plastic pole goes into the hole physically blocking the tunnel.I doubt its ultrasonic, sounds like it's just a cheap buzzer. Please avoid.

Not motion-detecting and definitely not ultrasound! But otherwise, OK.
These work: that's probably the most important thing to say. We had a 'mole breakout' after three weeks of no mole-hills, probably because we'd spaced them too far apart. Nevertheless, in three months or so, we've only had the one break-out: for the rest of the time, no mole-hills at all. However, these are advertised as 'motion-detecting'. They're nothing of the sort. They simply emit their bleeps at random intervals and have no motion-detection capabilities. They are also advertised as being 'ultrasonic', which I was always taught meant they would emit sound at such a high frequency that mere human ears wouldn't detect them. Also completely untrue, unfortunately: with four of them planted in the garden, there are times when it sounds like a particularly bad traffic jam around the Arc de Triomph on a busy day! If you don't have a huge garden or very understanding neighbours, these are likely to cause neighbourhood problems! So they get marked down considerably because of false advertising in the ultrasound and motion-detecting stakes. But, that said: plant them into pre-existing mole hills, flip the on/off switch and put up with ensuing bleeps... and they seem to do a reasonable job of keeping the critters away. Which is, after all, their entire reason for existence! Can't complain in that department, in other words. Naturally, moles are live, sentient creatures who will work around minor new inconveniences, so it will always remain a potential battle, in which your move is countered by new lawn expeditions on the part of the mole. Short of killing them outright, that's inevitable. These still come recommended (noise issues aside) for doing a reasonable fist of the job they're sold to do.Updated a year later to add: Have had to purchase a second set of these, as three of the previous four had given up the ghost. Inspection revealed significant water ingress and on one, the water pouring out of the device was gunky brown, indicating internal rusting had taken place. So: it looks like we'll have to buy a set of these each year, as they simply don't last outside in a Lincolnshire wet winter. I'm still going to point out, however, that we had zero new mole hills in the year the originals were functional and two new ones have just happened *after* the three originals died, so the correlation between these bleeping away happily and lack of moles seems pretty clear. We had no hesitation in buying a new set for this year, anyway. I think we may wield the bathroom waterproof sealant round the edges though, in the hope of making them more durable this time round.

Came without any instructions. How far apart are you supposed to put them ?

Perfect
Put all 4 in the ground straight away, they were already charged. Have not had any mole hills since, but next door now have hills. Perfect deterrent, well recommended.

You can hear them
Good size, stick in the ground with ease, you can hear them so know when they need moving into more sunlight to recharge

Deaf mole
I placed these in my garden yesterday and woke this morning optimistic that there wouldn’t be a new mole hill, but alas I was disappointed, looking at the other raving reviews I fear my mole must be deaf as the sound they omit is annoying me!
