No problem for our fingers
Bought this for my KS2 age children, who had no problems with fixing it together, making the molecules in the leaflet. We love using it and hope to buy more. No idea why the manufacturer put on 11 plus for the age. If you have a younger, very able child with an interest in Chemistry and wanting to make molecules, then this could be enjoyable and fun for them. Officially it is not a toy, but we enjoyed using it together and my lo enjoyed copying us make models of methane and water. Hands on learning really is so much better!

Great basic set for making simple structures.

Strength needed for sturdy models
Bit hard to handle. Good that you can use same atom model for single and double bond. Smallest set just to small to build a glucose.
