We live in the desert so a sunshade for your vehicle is an absolute must, but having to fold those dumb things up every time you get in the car is a pain and we often just throw them in the back seat until next time. So a retractable sunshade that stays attached to the windshield and allows you to gently pull it across the window when needed and when not in use easily retracts to the side is perfect. We purchased a different one from the car dealership years ago and we absolutely loved it. This sunshade was nothing like the first one we purchased from the car dealer.Problems:1. The suction cups attaching the frame to the window kept falling off. We didn’t even make it out of the car before they fell off the window.2. The plastic frame on each end that the hooks attach to cracked the second day.3. It doesn’t retract without a fight and quite a bit of guidance.4. The shade material itself is thin and doesn’t block the UV rays very well or offer any relief from the heat.Yes, I know for the price point I shouldn’t expect perfection, but I can and do expect not to be ripped off. Overall very disappointed.

The window shade worked well for two months but then the mechanism locked up and would not open.

Bought this product in September of 2023, did not get to install it until a few month after {maybe about 3-4 months}. but anyway i was using it and all of a sudden the top string that run straight through got stuck and it would not open. I tried forcing it to open and the string broke. so now it will not stay closed and fall down blocking my rearview mirror so had to stop using it. what would be the cause of the string being stuck.

Do not buy this, poor quality plastics. Not designed for high heat environments. The curtain retractors use low quality nylon thread that snaps. The material on the foldable material threads out so easily with each pull. A good idea just ineffectual in its purpose. A waste of money as a whole.

Yes it works and is easy to install but had issues first time I had to close it - didn’t close easily - had to pull the whole thing off the window and restructure the pleats to put it back on. Love the idea but not sure the fabric is strong enough to easily expand and collapse on the window. Was very frustrating the first time I tried to open it and it blocked my window so I pulled it off to reconstruct.

So glad I got this. Perfect for the brutal FL sunshine. Couple of thoughts after having installed it: the photos show it being trimmed folded up - NOPE. It actually has the standard yellow metal measuring tape wrapped into both sides. No cutting it folded. It would be easier to install it as best you can and then trim and reposition for a custom fit- especially around the rear view mirror. I have a Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, I’m a 71 year old 5’ 2” woman, and I thought “I’ll never be able to reach over and pull it across”, but not a problem at all. Great idea and I’m glad I got it. Probably took about 2” off of mine.

I like the idea That they retract I am not folding or fumbling trying to put them away. The only problem I have is they seemed kind of flimsy. If they could make them a little more sturdier they would be perfect for keeping your caror truck cooler in the heat.

Waited nearly a month for the window shield to arrive. Came with no instructions on how to install. Used it for two weeks. It bragged about how cool it keeps the car compared to the traditional ones, but there is no truth in that.The filament that makes it retractable broke this morning while opening it up.
