You would be better off buying a butter keeper. The idea that you can thin curl the butter fresh out of the fridge is faulty. The curls are too thick to spread effectively. After much consideration, I found the perfect place for this knife - the trash!

My grandson makes a mess of a stick of butter, trying to get cold butter to spread on toast. He has been given multiple presents of butter keepers and butter knives guaranteed to solve the problem. None have worked - until this one! Works great and is so simple.

I was initially disappointed when I unwrapped this knife but was very pleased how well it really worked. I'm so picky about buttering toast. I want the butter to be spread evenly but is impossible with cold butter. This worked as well as described.

Not a miracle butter knife. Still a bit hard to spread cold butter even with this knife. Not a bad knife though, good quality.

Finally a way to enjoy fresh real grass fed butter without having to leave it out to soften. I love this knife! It truly takes the hassle out of enjoying butter. It works flawlessly and is a snap to clean. My only regret is I didn’t find this gem sooner.

This is a little difficult to use on a stick of butter. Perhaps on a whole 1lb block it would work better. But it’s quite attractive and very well made.
