I love the GameBoy style design. It feels sturdy and not cheap. The screen is bright and clear, and the sound is good. It comes with a ton of games, but a lot of the arcade games just don’t work. MAME compatibility is always a problem, and it’s clear that not every game was tested. All of the other systems and games work fine so far. Fortunately it’s easy to load your own games onto the device. Overall, recommended if you want to play retro games on the go.

Really, this is THE system I frequently take out with me on the go. I wanted a replacement for emulation on my phone because of the lack of tactility, and this was it. I also don't usually want to take out my Gameboy or my 3DS or PS Vita because they're in too nice of condition. The RG35XX is small enough to where I can fit the whole carrying case in my pocket (if im wearing something other than jeans of course) and cheap enough to where I don't have to care about it. Besides, they're going to make very similar systems forever and they're only going to get better unlike original hardware where it's limited.Despite my own liking for this system on the go to supplement my physical collection, this does have some short comings.For one thing, the included SD card of course. I would rather it not come with one for a cheaper price. For another thing, the D-Pad. Most games are perfectly fine but specifically fighting games and other games that require quarter circle forward inputs and such are BAD. Shockingly bad. I've played on a lot of different controllers and handhelds, but I've never seen a D-Pad only register QCF 2-player side.I bought this to play my Tetris games on the go but it would've been nice to play fighting games as well. Really, the D-Pad is my only serious complaint and I'm going to try to mod my own D-Pad into the system and see if I can't fix my issue so I'll give this 5/5.

I recommend factoring in the cost of a good quality replacement card when purchasing the RG35XX. This will ensure a smoother and more reliable gaming experience.Overall, the RG35XX is a great value for the price. It delivers a fantastic experience for playing classic games and is perfect for anyone looking for a dose of retro nostalgia. Just be aware of the slight learning curve with the menu system and potential compatibility issues with some newer systems before purchasing.

Brings back great memories playing retro games. A lot of fun and easy to use.

Out of the box it had a dead battery so I thought it didn’t work . I charged it up . Turned it on the first game I tried was metal slug for gba , it kept playing the gba system intro on a loop . I reset it and scrolled thru the games . Decent list . I then went to the system settings , switched the OS to garlic . And the system has been a brick ever since . It turns on non of the buttons work . Only reset .

This thing is absolutely AMAZING. It has soooo many awesome games. And all the people saying it doesn't have Mario, that's right. But you can literally add super mario bros 3 and super mario 64 to it in like 10 min. And they play perfectly fine. I'm so in love with this thing I bought a 2nd one for my dad who loves mario 64. This right here is by far the coolest thing.

Easy to ad gamesLoaded with great games

I got this this bad boy for nostalgia, and emulation on the go. I love the feel of this (texture) and the size is great. Dual SD card slots so that 1 can run the OS and the 2nd can hold all your ROMs.I had to figure out this thing in order to get certain features working like the theme switcher. Shame that the literature online is not detailed enough for experienced Linux users like myself. For example: nowhere does it say that the folders have to be CAPS LOCKED for things to work correctly...only through trial and error did I figure it out.I like my RG35XX better than the Miyoo Mini Plus, despite the lack of extra feature. I think the issues I had up front getting this setup just right allow me to finally be in a state of "pick up and play" for the Anbernic.If you don't like tinkering, don't get this, or just stick to defaults. I can say now that my theme, icons, and ROMs are exactly how I want them, this is an ideal machine to play on.
