Absolutely fantastic norse mythology for kids.
Read this repeatedly to my 6 year old daughter for bedtime stories. She loves it almost as much as the Greek myths book by Usborne. I like how the book is structured, taking you from the creation of the world through the tales of the gods to the ending of the world - or the prophesying of it by Odin, at least. Within the overall structure there are sections with three stories in each. The individual stories are an ideal length for children about 5-9 I would say (and for grown-ups reading them). The illustrations are generally excellent. One to read over and over.

Perfect for young and old.
Well this is a great book and a very fun way to lern about the Norse Myths no matter what your age. Clear and easy text and very well illustrated so you can get each and every story come to life for you to remember and enjoy.Shame there are not more books like this for the other Myths from around the world.

Good Stories but rather hard!
This is a good book. Its fun, its exciting, its full of stories of gods, ice giants, and adventures. And its written in a brief manner that seems to suit my little boys, as they pay attention to the stories...BUT and this for me is a big but, some of the stories are too hard.I'm not talking about the names of people and places - which are pretty impossible to say - and I appreciate that many old stories are seriously 'adult' in nature. I think these stories could have done with being toned down a lot more.I was reading one story where the baddie does his thing, gets caught, and gets punished. I couldn't read the end of the story as the punishment was to have his family killed in front of him!!! I wonder if there are any other gems in this book i'll have to reinterpret?!

Excellent collection of imaginative myths.
A very well presented book, with colourful pictures and readily accessible text for my young grandchildren. Similar in quality to the companion book of Greek Myths, which is a firm favourite with them. Looking forward to reading it to them on Christmas Day!!

Entertaining
I bought this book to read with my 4 year old son since he's interested in mythical tales. The book is a good length and keeps my son entertained. The illustrations are nice although there aren't as many in the book when compared to the Greek myths book in this series.

The Almighty Johsons in one book lol
Bought this book for my daughter who really enjoyed the TV series of the Almighty Johnsons. Since I got it her for Xmas she hasn't put it down. The book itself is of an excellent quality and particularly like the padded front cover. Pictures and words telling of the norse myths is great and easy read
