I use them in handheld CB radio's CHARGES FAST and the hold a charge for a long time!
so far they seem GREAT.... not sure how long they will last... hopefully years... but I see a lot of people had them die and EBL replaced them.... I have dealt with EBL several times over the years trying to find the right size diameter batteries and they have ALWAYS BEEN FANTASTIC to work with.... all e-mails replied to, and they always tried to get me what I needed and were completely honest with me.I have 40 of these EBL 1.5volt Lithium rechargeable batteries and have not had to replace one yet.I love that these 1.5 Lithium Batteries charge in about 3 hours!!!!I have 50 HandHeld CB radios... most take either 9 or 10 AA batteries... I bought 200 of the AA 1.2 Power Owls and they work great and last a long time..... but some of my radio's output wattage was much lower ( 9 batteries times 1.2 volts = 10.8 volts... the EBL's are 9 batteries times 1.5volts =13.50 volts... big difference as many of my CB's require a minimum of 10.8 volts to work.so they make much more watts in the Cobra HH 50 handheld CB.....what I hadn't planned on, and was a HUGE BENEFIT was I keep these for emergencies / end of the world type stuff..... when the power goes out, all my neighbors can keep in touch ( we get snowed in and lose power for 5 to 7 days at a time at least once a year...also 10 of my hunting friends use them a few times a year also.... we go out for a week in the woods 10 of us.... every night we run a generator at our hunting cabin for about 4 hours to pump water and so forth... and we recharge our CB's.... each CB holds 10 batteries... so that's 100 rechargeable batteries... could you imagine using normal alkaline batteries??10 CB's at 10 batteries each = 100 batteries and we go out for 7 days so at the end of the week we would have used 700 batteries!!!!!!well I like my Power Owls but they always take 12 plus hours to charge???? they trickle charge to give you many recharge cycles and that's fine for normal stuff but no good in an emergency..... if the end of the world comes and I have to run my generator to charge them ( I test this out several times a year and have enough chargers to charge all 200 batteries at once) well I have to run the generator for at least 12 hours... I have a 1000 gallon propane tank that feeds my Generator.... but I still don't want to run it for 12 HOURS just to recharge the batteries!!!!we quickly learned the hard way when hunting that we could not get much of a charge on the power owls running the Generator in the cabin for 4 hours before going to bed...... so we would run it all night twice a week to charge them and they did last 3 plus days on a charge.... so they worked out... but running that loud gasoline generator all night and trying to sleep was terrible!!!!!I got these just for a few of my CB's that need the 1.5 volts.... as it would be insane to try to keep buying alkaline batteries..... but I was overjoyed when I went to recharge my 40 EBL 1.5 lithium batteries, they were recharged in less than 3 hours!!! and it seems the more I use them and recharge them the faster they recharge... I think my last recharge was just over two and a half hours!!!!! that's truly awesome... GREAT JOB EBL....I also found I can leave the batteries for a month and they hold the charge well!!!! and they also last a LONG LONG time..... I did a test and will do a YouTube test later showing me transmitting on my CB for 10 seconds every 10 minutes then just listening to the CB for 10 minutes.... then transmitting again for 10 seconds....( 60 seconds of transmit per hour... I did this for 6 hours before I got tired of doing it but that was 6 minutes of transmitting and 6 hours running)... I thought that was a lot!!... which is about what I would use them for when it comes to security or search and rescue ... if we had two watchers 1/2 mile on each end of my street they would check in a few times an hour and if they say,a suspicious car coming my way they would radio ...you have a green car heading your way with 4 punks in it..... so using it this way I would think we could get two or three days out of a set of charged batteries.this is NOT a complaint....I see these batteries stay about the same voltage all the time until dead.... unlike normal batteries that get a little lower and lower and lower the more you use them... well my battery meter always shows a FULL 4 bars on the battery percentage on my CB screen..because it is full as they are ALWAYS putting out 1.5 volts....normal batteries would show 4 Bars meaning 1.5 volts...... 3 bars meaning 1.4 volts ...... then 2 bars... meaning 1.2 volts then it would show no BARs meaning it needs to be recharged.....so there is no way to tell how much time is left on the batteries.... they go from 4 FULL BARS to dead with no warning..... but they give me good 1.5 volt power for the entire time so not a complaint.... when we go hunting we will just plan on charging them nightly.GREAT BATTERIES EBL!!!..... I wish you had these a year ago when I bought my 200 NIMH Power Owl batteries.

Bought it for our church!! (IEM & Mics)
This was exactly what we needed. As a medium size church with multiple services, batteries were constantly flying in and out and most of them being thrown out with still half battery life in them. These batteries were the perfect solution, we connected them to our stage power so they only charge when the stage is on (during service/rehearsals). We bought double the amount of batteries and taped 32 black and 32 white. Each Friday we rotate them and the other set then charges during the week (Sun-Fri). They might be "over charging" during the week but we've seen no issue. Overcharge protection seems to be working. This ensures we have full battery every Sunday Morning for our 3 services and they last all week.(About 8hours of use Sun-Fri)

Battery quality is good, vendor is too
The function is reasonably intuitive. Bought two of them, about a year apart. The second one still is working well, but the first set of batteries no longer charge in either of the chargers. Might be a quality problem with that batch. Probably used them only five times, when they are expected to last for several thousand cycles. Will report back when the second set quit working.update 20 March 2025 - The vendor offered replacement or refund, in response my previous review. I asked if they have or could determine root cause by analyzing the returned batteries. Still no response on that. This information would guide my decision as to whether the problem has been fixed, or I would be better off with the money. Would love to see these batteries work reliably and be more affordable in other sizes like AAA, C, and D.update 27 April 2025 - Worked with the vendor to identify the problem. I had confused their lithium NON-RECHARGEABLE batteries with the rechargeable ones. They were very helpful in suggesting tests. As noted by other reviewers, they are standing behind the products. I increased the rating from two stars to four stars.

UPDATED REVIEW - increased to 5 stars
ORIGINAL REVIEW: Amazon would not post my first review (with multiple photos), citing it did not meet their guidelines and I could not figure out why. So I'm typing a new review now. I bought a 12-pack of these EBL rechargeable AA batteries and right out of the box I could not get them to charge in an EBL charger. The charger DID charge multiple other batteries, but not these EBL batteries. In the photos, these EBL batteries that won't charge are all the red ones.UPDATE 5-10-2025:* Note: Several days ago I posted an updated review and informed the seller, who replied that she did not see any update. So I checked here and I don't see that update posted either. I don't know why it did not post. So here I am again to post an update.* The Update: Linda contacted me after my original review and stated that the EBL charger I had was a Ni-MH charger and could not charge lithium ion rechargeable batteries. I checked back on the EBL charger's product description and it stated "Li-ion/Ni-MH/Ni--CD rechargeable batteries, ultra fit for any brand batteries." It seems that charger only charged 9V type Li-ion batteries, but not AA and AAA. This was confusing in the product description. I shared this with Linda, and she kindly sent a set of Li-ion batteries with a Li-ion charger, and they seemed to charge just fine so far. This, combined with the repeated follow-up messages from Linda, raised my review rating to 5 stars. Thanks, Linda!
