Works great
This arrived simply packed with everything needed to fit. I fitted this to my Ender 5 Plus, and the kit includes two cables that are needed for the fitting distance on the Ender 5 plus.Fitting is straight forward enough and it went smoothly with no issues. I use a Sonic pad, and it has a custom sprite setting under other options/advanced options/extrusion configuration and the Sptite extruder can be selected and saved under customisation.Overall this has been a simple and nice upgrade I am pleased with. The fitting is straight forward, and I now find changing filament a lot quicker and easier along with improving my print quality. I can't fault it as a simple upgrade so have given 5 stars.

It put a smile on my wife’s face, and mine…
She giggles whenever “hot end” is mentioned, as for me, I’m very pleased with the results.I had been having issues with clogging on my stock Ender 3 hot end which is likely down to running too much CF filament through it, so I decided it was time for a replacement.Installation was simple, with all the required bits supplied. The only additional purchase I made was a 3mm capsule type thermocouple to replace the stock glass bead version. The kit does come with a copper insert to accommodate the glass bead, but I preferred the full thermal contact of the made to measure capsule. After fitting and upon running my first test print I was blown away by the results, it’s was like having a new printer, the print quality was spot on.I have since been able to print PLA at 300mm by simply increasing the temperatures by 10 deg. The hot end increase helps the PLA flow faster, while the bed temp increase helped with adhesion required due to the bed being thrown about a tad more vigorously.I’d definitely recommend this as an upgrade, especially if like me you have a stock and aging Ender3 that is having rings run around it by the newer, faster and slightly more expensive 3D printers on the market.

Amazing upgrade 10/10
The media could not be loaded. I had nothing but issues since purchasing my ender 3 neo so I wanted to try upgrade to direct drive. I was about to get an off brand one to save money and I'm so glad I didnt. I have been printing almost perfectly since upgrading to this. It was also very easy and quick to fit.

Filament is impossible to insert
This extruder is the most opaque and annoying thing I've ever had to deal with in 3d printing. When inserting the filament I need to press so hard on the lever the whole assembly bends around the truss its attached to. Even when it gets past the gears it never enters the bowden tube, ever. Its impossible to know if its the gears or the tube which is the problem when it's mounted because the whole thing is welded closed and is impossible to see inside. Completely unusable in this state and theres nothing i can do solve it because the the unit cant be disasembled or seen inside.

Sprite Pro Head works but some issues/worries
I fitted this upgrade to my ender 3 pro. The lower carraige wheel on this has a protruding nut and thread which limits X axis travel to the right of the bed, as it now strikes the right hand X axis supporting bracket. As I also use CR touch bed levelling this caused the X axis stepper motor to stall during ths process. They should either reconsider this bolt arrangement or supply a replacement bracket for the X axis. I overcame this by reshaping the X axis supporting bracket, requiring metalworking tools. Fitting the CR touch to this was straightforward and a short cable is provided to attach this to the connecter at the rear of the unit. Whilst convenient, I am worried about the resilience of the large flat cable that connects down to the controller board and only hope it stands the test of time. The heat pipe connections use two of these very thin wires connected in parrallel for each terminal. Links to print files are included for a cable bracket, a modified BL touch fixing and a replacement fan shroud (in case the latter is "damaged in transit"). The unit was well packaged but don't expect to see the flashy CREALITY logo'ed cover depicted in this advert ... if its there its hidden behind the connector board at the rear of the head. What you actually see is depicted in the fourth photo.

Smooth flow
A bit tricky to fit but worth the effort. PLA flows very well and no issues with clogging. Wished I'd upgraded years ago!

Works well
Make sure to apply the thermal paste where appropriate find a good guide from reliable source to perform installation because the documentation is lacking

Almost mandatory upgrade
My Ender 3 Max has had the stock hot end since I purchased it 3 years ago and even though it was working great I could not print TPU or similar filaments and printing ABS / PETG meant the bowden tube inside the hot end needed to replaced fairly regularly which was an annoyance at least. I ran low on tubing for the 5th or 6th time and decided it was time to look at upgrading the hot end instead of ordering 2 more packs of bowden tubing so after a quick look on Amazon I found this. I've got the micro swiss hot end on my Ender 5 Plus which works great but isn't good value for money in my opinion, so I decided to get this hot end and the official direct drive kit from Creality which combined cost me £50 less than the micro swiss combo. Installation was approximately 15 minutes, adjusting my Z offset took longer! After heating it up and doing my final torque of the screws I loaded up some PLA and set about printing some generic parts to test my new hot end. All came out brilliant so I decided to print the hollow TPU wallet, after some tuning to my print settings I was able to get nice clean prints from ABS / PETG / TPU and I even printed a CHEP cube with some carbon fibre PETg after some trial and error. If you are running stock firmware and want to print with exotic filaments it is worthwhile getting firmware which allows higher hot end temperatures, these can be found with a quick google search for the most common 3D printer models or you can compile your own like I did which allows you to tune the firmware to suit your needs. Overall I would highly recommend this hot end upgrade to anyone looking to reduce the maintenance of your 3D printer or if you want to print with filaments other than PLA / PETG / ABS

Easy to replace
The head was easy to replace on my printer. Fit perfect. The whole printer is great quality and works very well.

kein Plug and Play
