Ticks while timer is set on. Loud ticking. When the time is up. The alarm isn't so loud but its a pretty good sound. You could miss it. If preoccupied. So check last 10 to 5 min if your not around in area when your using it. I use for cooking.

Easy to use

Excellent Timer! You just wind all the way and then turn to where you need and that’s it! Very handy I love the magnetic feature and could also have up straight on the counter. It’s loud enough... not annoying. Works well ever time and yes I use it at least 4 times a day everyday!

Worked fine at first and then stopped working. We've had this for three months and have used maybe three or four times. Now, it doesn't work. You turn it all the way around once and then back to the time you want (as other users will tell you). This was fine at first and now when you do it, it will will tick for about a minute or so and then stop moving. Don't waste your money.

Although you have to turn it on all the way to an hour then back to what you want, that is OK. I love that with my hearing impairment I can hear it in the next room. It is also magnetic so I attached it to the stove hood which is louder.

I bought this timer a year ago and it just started not working all the time. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Example: I'll completely reset it (by twisting it all the way back to zero) and then turn it toward 20 minutes. I know it won't work, if when I come back 5 minutes later, it's still on the 20 minute setting. I can hear the ticking sound, but it doesn't move. I don't know why it works some time and other times it doesn't.Good news is it's not expensive.

I have no complaints with it's ease of use, it does exactly what it's supposed to and I don't have to fuss with batteries. But the ding is very faint, so I have to carry it with me when I'm waiting for it to ding.
