Customer service reached out concerning the broken net. I had already purchased another one, same Restclould Net as I was hoping I just had bad luck. Customer service sent me the stronger net, which is the same great design but a lot stronger materials. The new net is much better for my son, he is having a ball catching frogs and fish... even a snapping turtle. I've had no issues with the net I purchased as a replacement but he prefers the stronger built net.I would recommend either but spend a couple dollars more for the stronger version, you won't regret it. Perhaps I received a dud but the top pole for the net broke after a day.I really liked the design and that the net was so portable. Bought it for my 11 year old to catch frogs at the pond. Nothing big or heavy. He had the pole extended all the way and it snapped at the connection for the telescoping.Very light weight and great design. Just needs to be a bit stronger. The broken net ended our fun.

I use this on my pontoon. I like the length and it folds up and stores well.

UPDATE: Wonderful customer service. The company refunded my purchase! I will look into other options from them to replace the net.This was a gift to my daughter who loves to fish and catch sunfish in the water. During her first use, the pole snapped in half. She’s very disappointed. The aluminum doesn’t seem too durable.

Very durable perfect size fits in my tacklebox

Shame on me for trying to save money and give this cheapo net another chance. The first one I bought, a couple of years ago, had a cheap aluminum handle that snapped in half about a month after purchasing. I bought it to use to help keep my koi pond clean, so I liked the shape of the actual net--I thought i could use it to scoop up leaves and debris from the bottom. Well, apparently the leaves were too heavy, LOL!Fast forward to last fall, when I thought I'd give it another shot. I bought another one, vowing to be more careful to pick up only a few leaves at a time (eye roll). And I did. And the thing STILL broke! This time it was not the handle, but one of the prongs connecting one of the corners. Rendering it completely useless. Upon further examination, I saw that it was RUSTED.Wow. Such craftsmanship. NOT.This year I am going to buy something that is not absolute GARBAGE.

We bought six of these to use as dip nets during citizen science programs where we catch-and-release small marine organisms living in our lagoon. At first, we were impressed with the size of the net and the relative ease of assembly. The fine mesh was perfect for catching juvenile fish (1-4cm) and smaller crustaceans. When disassembled, the nets took up very little storage space. However, after just a few uses, we noticed that the screws holding the net in position on the handle were no longer remaining tight enough to keep the net straight. Instead, the net would fold back between 60-90 degrees as we swiped it through the water. We have used the nets for just one month now and none of them will remain straight. Sadly, this has resulted in the loss of many fish we would otherwise have been able to catalogue for this science project. We will need to use duct tape to hold the nets in position, effectively negating the reason we purchased them in the first place (foldability for easier storage). When we first purchased them, I was amazed at the quality for the price, but after using them for a while, I do not feel they are a good value. We will not be purchasing more.

Great item to have when the fish are biting. Easy to use and open.

Great for picking up garbage out of the lake. Lightweight so probably wouldn’t be very good with big fish.
