This is another desktop style game that I'm genuinely surprised by.Typically the scaled-down versions of arcade games aren't nearly as much fun as their full size counterparts. What's fun about this, however, is that they've adapted it to the small size and made it fun based on its size. I love that the whole basketball game moves side to side rather than making the hoop itself move little by little.I also love that they've allowed you to shoot it with your hands rather than trying to make you use some silly "launcher" like so many of these tabletop style games do. Since most people can throw a ping pong ball, it makes the game a lot more fun rather than having to learn a new skill like using a spring loaded launcher.The scoring is super accurate and it does a good job of staying in a relatively straight line as it goes back and forth.Note: I did notice that it slowly drifted to the right as you played it. It would go right to left, but it would always go a little bit MORE right than left. If you're going to be playing this on a tabletop or near some stairs, just be careful to make sure it doesn't roll itself off the edge.The kids love it and even Dad loves it. It's small, it's not super loud, and it's genuinely challenging. Definitely worth ordering!

:: Initial experience ::[: Pros :]-Nice for fans of basketball-Three speed settings-Digital scoreboard-Ok value]: Cons :[-The design is not the best: the hoop size causes the lightweight ping pong balls to very easily miss, and therefore becomes too challenging and easily boring.-The size causes the player to have to get fairly close to achieve some hope, so it becomes pretty difficult and frustrating easily.-The item simply lacks fast action fun, and my child eventually moved on from it quickly.-Sound effects are fairly lightweight and somewhat poor or muffled.-There is no place to store balls-Says three speed capable but there is only an on-off button.-Battery operated and not USB-rechargeable, and batteries not included.

This is... kinda okay. It indeed is a basketball hoop that keeps score as you try to bounce balls through the hoop.The main negative is that the movement built into it is... odd. The main issue is that it moves side to side instead of forward/back, which would make it FAR more interesting and fun. Additionally, the movement is erratic in an unpleasant way - it feels random but sometimes gets stuck going one way for a lot longer meaning you just have to move it back or slowly move across the room as you play until you hit a wall.For the price and simplicity of this game, I expected better.

As an experienced teacher, I am ever on the lookout for new and attractive ways to keep up my students’ interest and to add a little fun to their classroom experience. Black Series’ motorized basketball hoop game should assist in this task. Basically, the product is a tiny moving basketball hoop for ping pong balls (3 are provided) that runs on 3 AA batteries (not provided). Every time the tiny ball makes it through the hoop the score board adds two points as the ball hits a small lever and bounces to the ground. The game ends either by time or by reaching 99 points and has several different levels of increasing difficulty. The sounds are realistic to what you would expect for a basketball game crowd, and, thankfully, not too loud. If I could suggest one improvement for the product it would be to have it move less erratically back and forth; while such movement does provide for a greater challenge to play, it also increases the risk that the toy will fall off the table or shelf that kids may place it on. Overall, this is an inexpensive, well-built fun product for kids of all ages to play alone or with friends.

It is fitting that this comes with little ping pong balls as anyone who has played ping pong knows those balls can really get away from you. The same thing happens here. They did not stay on the table and their bounce elsewhere. It is easier if you put some thing around the game to kind of help corral the balls so they do not bounce and roll away. But I wish it kind of came with something like that. Regardless, it is a fun little game and it is great to play with others because of course the competition. So a decent price for a fun little gadget.

This Review is for: BLACK SERIES Motorized Basketball Hoop Game with 3 Balls.This is a novel table-top toy.During play it is a one-person game. Once the start button is pushed the hoop moves left and right about a foot. The basketballs are orange colored ping-pong balls. As you sink a basket the electronic scoreboard advances. The instructions say that during 40 seconds of play if you score enough points (not sure exactly how many points that is) you advance to the next level. Every time the level advances the hoop movement speed increases. Play for the current player ends when:1. Player reaches 99 points or2. Player does score enough points to advance to next level.The toy takes three AA batteries (you must provide).Easy to lose the ‘basketballs’ off of the table so best played with a cardboard skirt around the toy (leaving enough room on the sides for hoop movement).

The media could not be loaded. What a fun game! It was easy to set up....all you had to do was take it out of the box and put three AA batteries in the bottom. You do need a Phillips-head screwdriver. It not only moves back and forth but has sound effects....you can hear them in my video....yes, I should have had someone else throw the balls when I made the video.....this will bring hours of fun to any age!
