Secret Obsession

If I could give this 10 ⭐️, I would. The author really buried the lead with Miles Whiteshaw. He was obsessive, possessive, aggressive and I didn't see all that coming. I feel like I got slapped upside the lady parts with this one. Willow lives on the struggle bus after her very public breakup with Knox an the humiliation she suffered was not amazing, but Miles was there to pick up the pieces.This book made me feel things besides downstairs flutters and that's not easy to do. I laughed and cried while reading it. The underlying love story in this book was really beautiful. 👌Well done!

Miles is EVERYTHING! If you've read Brutal Obsession and Devious Obsession and think those men are unhinged, Miles takes unhinged to the next level in the BEST WAY. I already wish I could read this book again for the first time. I have no clue what I'm supposed to do with myself until the next book comes out in October. As always, check the trigger warnings because this book is full of them. This book gets all the stars, but unfortunately, I had to top out at 5 and 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

I was truly surprised by this book… I loved the first two so much, I knew I had to read this but I honestly didn’t really hold out much hope it’d B as good. Some authors just veer way too far off. THIS book, was by far the very best of the series!! 5 ⭐️ for suspense and keeping ya guessing & 5 🌶️ for Spice. Very well done! Standing O!

OK I have no words are you completely speechless Miles just wow each book the guys get progressively, dark and more morally Grey and yes I am here for it. I will say that if you have any sort of triggers, please look at the trigger warning. That being said, Miles is just awesome. I have mixed feelings about Willow. Love this book and series

Absolutely loved this book! This one had a different vibe than the first two in the series but it was still just as good. Be sure to check trigger warnings if you have any. Miles is yummy! This is a forbidden, brother’s ex gf romance so naturally I loved it! Can’t wait to see what’s next!

I had been looking forward to this book for months. Unfortunately, it was this reason that I was left disappointed. I wished for Willow to be stronger and more independent.

I have become obsessed with the men in the Hockey Gods series by S. Massery, but not as obsessed as they are with their FMCs. I thought Greyson and Steele were unhinged MMCs; no, Miles may take that top spot now after reading Secret Obsession.Storyline/My Thoughts: S. Massery is a master at writing the MMCs in this series and making them so unhinged that you overlook the red flags they give because, in the end, the MMCs are only showing how they are willing to do anything for the FMCs they fall in love with. This brings up why I loved this book. Miles Whiteshaw, the hockey goalie, is definitely a morally grey character (antihero) you will either love or hate, especially how he initially treats Willow. He’s a bully and has his reasons for being one to Willow. She’s spiraling out of control after what Miles’s brother did to her, and Miles is trying to help her. He shows her tough love, which is exactly what Willow needs.I enjoyed the storyline of this book and how Miles has to help Willow from the dark times and having trust issues and get her back to the girl he knew she could be when he first met her. He also has to protect her from something that happens at the beginning of the book that involves both of them, which leads them into danger. I loved the flashbacks from Miles and when he first met Willow and understood why he was always obsessed with her. He was always supposed to be the Whiteshaw brother to be with her, and it took Willow some convincing and Miles making her life difficult for her to figure it out. Heck, after the first few chapters, it convinced me how much Miles cared for Willow. Although, I could understand Willow’s freak out on what he did too.My issue was with Willow and how I didn’t connect with her like the other FMCs. She was putting herself at risk after what Knox did to her, and Knox wasn’t worth it. (Yeah, I’m not a fan of Knox Whiteshaw. Whenever he gets his book, whoever the FMC he ends up with, I hope they put him through the wringer because he deserves it.) I did understand why she guarded her heart after Knox, especially after realizing how she thought her family treated her.Ultimately, Willow needed someone to love her and feel loved, and she got it with Miles (in his own deranged way in the beginning). She was always meant to be with Miles Whiteshaw, and it took some convincing for it to happen. I give the book four stars and definitely can’t wait for the next book in the series, especially with how S. Massery always gives her readers hints on what is next. Thanks to S. Massery, I’m in my Dark Hockey Romance Era. If S. I really didn’t know what I was expecting but ever since I realized that he was loving his brothers girlfriends from afar, he had my attention completely.Willow is a hell of a fighter. If I went through a fraction of what she did, I’d be broken. While she does lose her way, Miles is there to bring her back to reality. He has some different but effective ways to get his point across and break down Willow’s walls to let him in.Miles, he literally left me speechless with the way that he loves. They go through hell and back to get their HEA after Willows apartment is trashed in a very violent way and other incidents prove that she is being targeted. I was on the edge of my seat wondering where the story was going and I was not disappointed.I love that past characters are such a major role in their story so we get to catch up a bit on their lives and those little details tossed in about Jacob.. I can’t wait for his story next.

I loved everything about this book. Miles is unhinged in the BEST way over his girl. His and Willow’s story is intense, but I never wanted it to end! 10/5⭐️s

There was no denying the connection between Willow & Miles but keep in mind that this is a dark romance so Miles does some really twisted stuff. He cared about and looked after Willow and when his feelings regarding her became more clearer I started to like him. The book was long, thrilling with some twists but kind of predictable. It was definitely a great read though you need to know that some characters do morally questionable things.

This is the darkest book of the series so far, drama 🫣 spice🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🔪🩸 and a whole lot more! This story starts with a 💥, it’s a 🎢 of emotions. I couldn’t put this book down, it didn’t disappoint 1 bit! There wasn’t any points were I thought it was too much or was going on, every chapter keeps you reading and wanting more! There friend group is great, we should all have friends like that, who will do ANYTHING for you! Miles is all alpha on speed, I didn’t realises how broken Willow was inside. Tough love does work! 💕I don’t want to say any spoilers 🤐so I will just say 1 thing…..”He nips my earlobe. "I own you, wild one." He groans”🥵🫨

Holy hot tamales 🌶🌶🌶I havent read a exs brother romance but I didnt realize it was a trope I needed more of. This book starts with a bang. Also Miles having to fix what his brother broke in Willow was a masterpiece to read.
