Product description Motörhead: Inferno CD - CD, released in Germany by Steamhammer (SPV 085-69742 CD), Barcode: 693723697420 -- reissue -- Genre: Heavy Metal .co.uk Twenty years and one Top Shop T-shirt fad on from their inception, Inferno renews Motorhead's vow to amphetamine-speed rock & roll in its most pure, distilled form. Age has not mellowed them: Inferno boasts a clutch of numbers explicitly dealing with death, murder and suicide, each one executed with the unforgiving confidence and well-honed chops of the master axeman. Weathered by decades of abuse, Lemmy's hoarse bark now sounds as sanded and moulded as a glowering gargoyle, but it suits everything from the murderous, white-hot bass chug of "Killers" to the good-time rock & roll of "Life's A Bitch"--admittedly, not a million miles apart, but that's par for the course here--with ease. Meanwhile, guitar-for-hire Steve Vai guests on two numbers, "Terminal Show" and "Down On Me", but while Vai's name is commonly a byword for guitar-shredding pomposity of the first order, here his ostentatious excesses are neatly compressed into two guitar solos of bracing speed and dexterity. In fact, it's kind of fitting that the only sign of late years comes on "Whorehouse Blues"--an acoustic closer that sees Lemmy wheezing into a harmonica, reviving the old Delta blues in all its sordid, licentious glory. --Louis Pattison

30th Anniversary Motorheadbanger
I have been a fan of Motorhead since the early 90's and I got to see them on their 25th Anniversary Tour in Swansea in 2000, this 30th Anniversary edition of Inferno is absolutely banging with their usual heavy rock before going back to their early country blues days with Whorehouse Blues to wrap up another awesome album, I love the dvd that is included in this package as you get a taste of the 30th Anniversary show at Hammersmith an interview with the band and a feature from their album cover artist too. Would highly recommend all Motorheadbangers to buy this version of the album.

Motorhead - Inferno.
This is Motorhead's finest album of late, but as with every band, this can only be ascertained upon retrospect whilst taking other albums into account. A pity they have not aired more of these tracks in their live set, but this is not our choice, and when seeing them in concert you simply enjoy everthing they throw at you. A benchmark album no less. Now vinyl and coloured re-issues are no longer with us, it makes sense to release the album a second time with a different DVD in lieu of this, and the Motorhead 30th Birthday celebrations justify it, if justification should ever be needed. Here we have the Whorehouse Blues video, plus the making of it, (they play this acoustic song live, much to the surprise of many), Lemmy, Fast Eddie and Philthy talking about the band's early days, and a compulsive piece of watching in an interview with their album sleeve artist, Joe Petagno. Okay, if you have the first release with its DVD and you don't feel the need to spalsh out again, that's fine, but the DVD alone is worth forking out again for if you're a big fan/collector.

The best album the Lemmy Phil and Mikey have ever produced
The best album the Lemmy Phil and Mikey have ever produced . If the Ace of Spades album was the defining album for the Lemmy Fast Eddie and Philthy Phil line up then this is it for the current line up its probably the best album they've done since then! ( their are some absolute stonkers but this is in my opinion by far and away the best thing the've put out since their heyday)

Hell yeah!!!
Once again we have here a very powerful cd by motorhead.I think of their music as a train that comes to you at top speed and hits you in the head and gives you a small chance to breath between songs.Guest appearance by maestro Steve vai is fantastic even though he plays in only 2 songs, leaves you wanting more.Bonus DVD is great and the whole package is both beautiful and fantastic.Don't hesitate and get it,before this edition becomes hard to find or way too expensive!!...Motorhead rules!!!

rock and roll of the very highest quality
I've been a diehard motorhead fan for thirty odd years and although i bought and loved the world is ours this one must have slipped under the radar. don't know how cos its amazing, just blistering stuff from start to finish. when you think about it logically, motorhead should be bigger than metallica! they invented this music and i just love them! oh, just buy it and play it loud, track 2 killers does it for me bigtime!

Deaf Forever but will never be silenced!
Not what you'd call typical Motorhead that everyone's familiar with, but a slightly more sophisticated sound with more modern recording techniques. Well things had moved on since the 70s. Terrific.
