High-Performance M.2 NVMe Enclosure for Speed and Efficiency
I recently purchased the UGREEN M.2 NVMe Enclosure, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance and design! As someone who frequently works with large files and needs fast data transfer, this enclosure has become an essential part of my setup.First off, the installation process was straightforward. I easily installed my NVMe SSD, and the aluminium casing feels sturdy and well-built. It’s compatible with various sizes, including 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280 SSDs, which adds a lot of versatility. I appreciate that I can use this enclosure for different drives without worrying about compatibility issues. The 10Gbps transfer speed is remarkable! I’ve noticed a significant improvement in how quickly I can access, and transfer files compared to my previous setup. The support for UASP and TRIM enhances performance, making data management smooth and efficient. Whether I'm transferring large video files or backing up important data, this enclosure handles everything effortlessly.Another standout feature is the upgraded heat dissipation. The aluminium design not only looks sleek but also keeps the SSD cool during intense tasks. I’ve used it for extended periods, and I haven’t noticed any overheating issues, which is a relief. The compact size makes it incredibly portable, so I can easily take it with me when I’m on the go. Whether I’m working from a coffee shop or traveling for meetings, it fits neatly into my bag without taking up much space.Overall, I highly recommend this product for anyone in need of a reliable and high-performance M.2 NVMe enclosure. It delivers on speed, efficiency, and portability, making it a valuable addition to my tech arsenal. I’m very satisfied with my purchase and would definitely buy it again!

Low cost solution to having an external NVMe drive
If I was burdened with too much money, I might go for one of the really expensive Thunderbolt 4 enclosures out there. They would be a faster solution, especially for any NVME drives rated to 3k or faster. As it is, I have a drive in this that is far too fast to leave it in there. At some point, I will put that drive internally (which was the original plan) and put the currently internal device in the enclosure. But anyway, back to the enclosure. I am getting 10Gbps type speeds from it, so I'm happy with that. I like the silicone sheath for some extra protection (oo-er), but the enclosure is so well made (solid chunks of aluminium FTW) that the sheath seems to be more for grip while handling than for any protection if you do actually drop it.It gets warm in use, so the heatsink part is working, but never gets unduly hot.I picked this item, out of the others I looked at, because it seemed the sturdiest, and because it has flat sides, so it will lay flat on a desk (as illustrated in the product photos). If there is a teeny tiny gripe I have with it (not really) it's that it seems quite heavy (compared to the thing it is housing. I'm used to it being the other way around!) But I suspect that what that really means, is that this will be with me for sometime (unless the interface blows up, but time will tell for that). At only 160g, I'd be quite happy slinging this into my bag.

Nice SSD/NVME Enclosure
The unit is well made and quite solid. Pretty straightforward to do the NVME install if a little fiddly. I was lucky that I found a 2TB NVME for silly money and then needed a case for it and this one fits the bill perfectly. Doesn't get to hot either.Good value and nice design and build. Yes, all-round good.

colour me impressed
UGREEN M.2 NVMe Enclosure=======================Have been using this enclosure now with the same thermal pad that was included several times with different nvme drives. All the cards showed excellent (expected) speeds using the enclosure over different usb 3 ports on 2 old pcs and a laptop. For example on the last drive I used was PCIe 4 card getting over 5,000 MB/s & 4,000 MB/s read / write speeds when inside the laptop, obviously when connected externally via usb 3, I was practically expecting for read speeds of around 300-500 MB/s and write speeds of 30-300 MB/s on this drive (not expecting the theoretical speeds on the fastest usb 3.2 and was using older usb 3 ports). I ended up getting read/write 420MB/s / 442 MB/s speeds for that drive. Was getting similar results on the faster and slower nvme’s I was using, suitably impressed the speeds were matching my expectations - some of the cheaper enclosures I've used failed to deliver in the past..Obviously to get the most out of this, it would be better over usbc thunderbolt 4, and both usb and usbc cables are included with the drive. The speeds you will get will vary depending on the speed of the nvme’s used as well as which ports you are using to connect. Overall I was suitably impressed by the enclosure, used mainly to help with cloning disks.I do also use a dearer ugreen plastic ssd enclosure but got this after I couldn't find it, and was happy to find the nvmes do run cooler in this all metal enclosure - it does get a little warm, but just goes to prove it's doing its job well drawing off heat. Having used this I will probably stick to metal enclosures now. Yes they may be heavier than the plastic ones, but the extra cooling is better for the nvme health. The only very minor niggle I had with this metal enclosure was when removing the lid to open it - after loosening the single screw it is a little fiddly getting the lid off, (the plastic tool free version I had was a lot easier opening up). Also liked that two of the plastic plugs were included (for holding down the nvme inside the closure - always good to have a spare) . Selling for 19.99 at time of purchase (a few weeks ago).

It's s
It's great. I use this to fit a 2TB SSD that was previously in my PS5 Pro. I use it to install all large GB game files. Not sure what the resd/write speed it though.
