If you aren't a bass lover, this speaker will suit you well. If you have severe high frequency hearing loss, at this price point, this speaker is a great deal.I love bass .. and this speaker has almost none, but with my high frequency hearing loss that's actually a boon.It is precisely because there is very little base that the mid-range (and what tiny bit of high frequency I can hear come through to me.(I can't speak to how normal hearing people hear it. It might be a bit "tinny" for them. ??? )But to me, this speaker sounds VERY good with or without my hearing aids.In fact, I prefer using it to using my Sony SRS X55 speaker, which has stellar sound quality throughout the range. The bass on the Sony is AMAZING. But that creates a problem for me, it is so good that it overwhelms my ability to hear mid-range and what little of the high range I am still able to hear.All of that said, aside from not having much bass (almost none) the quality of the sound of this speaker is quite good. I find it works for me quite well whether I'm wearing my hearing aids or not.I gave these speakers 5 stars on every aspect, because I want this review to be high on the list for the hard-of-hearing to see, (and NOT because I have found how water resistant they are, or how long the battery lasts). Frankly, I don't care about those issues.One last thing .. I use them with my Windows PC, and VLC music player, which has a decent selection of audio effects (equalization) .. which is critical to getting the most out of the speaker. (I find the "pop" or "large hall" or "live" settings work best for me.)

Not a bad little speaker! wish it had a bit more bass but the sound is clear and balanced. I’m coming from a similar sized Sony portable speaker, but almost every single Sony speaker goes VERY heavy on the bass. Some like it, some don’t. This speaker is also 1/5 the price… so my argument is almost invalid in itself. If you listen to rap/electronic, you may be a bit disappointed, but for general listening/rock it’s very nice. Curious to see if the model larger than the R5 has more OOMPH.

This is a "small" speaker. And it performs great.Yes, not much bass, but it is designed for small portable. Can't compete with a bigger Bugani or Soundcore speaker for pool or patio.Works perfect for a speaker for computer viewing and dialogue on YouTube and stuff.It works good for good music on a patio, but close range not super broadcast.Yes not much bass.But overall great with bluetooth and small format.Overall best for desktop with computer.Great for that.

This is a Raymate R5 IPX7 waterproof bluetooth HiFi portable stereo. I thought I would venture to try something that would be a little bit more budget friendly and hope that the quality of sound would be at least satisfactory acceptable compared to the 2 small bose speakers that I am[accustomed to listening with. Boy, I am so pleased with this device that I am going to buy another so they can be played together and even at a lower price than the one I just recently purchased (now that part irritates me amazon should create a 30 day price difference savings reimbursement to customers) Sound is GREAT, LOVE the convience of themounted square clip that you flip open (which I must also mention) is very durable then u can attach whatever u decide to use it for. Myself I attached the carrying syrap(not included)to it. At the other end ❤️ the fact that they designed the material to be lifted up to plug in ur device which when not in use protects the 3 different port area from dust,liquid,ect..The operational functions on top are easily] accessible.Final thoughts on this would be I feel a little disappointed that these added features are not even a possibility for those other 2 overpriced speakers I have always used and think I will try venturing out more on products that I'm not familiar with compared to those that I am.Ok! The speaker worked phenomenally during the two months it functioned. I haven’t been able to use it because it is unable to charge, this issue occurred suddenly; I’m not sure what to do. If this speaker worked correctly I would have left a 4.5 star review due to it being a perfect indoor bluetooth speaker you get good quality and amazing bang for your buck!

Purchased this for my daughter and she has loved it.Battery life is great. The sound quality is great. It is a good product. She hasn't had problems connecting to Bluetooth and usually plays the music from her phone to the speaker.I know we have used this speaker outside and inside and it has been great in both places. Outside sound can sometimes get overwhelmed with city noise--but not this speaker. It is a good product for around the house and family fun times. In fact, my wife wants one just for her now!
