Big Toe AFO Socks - Child Sizes

SmartKnit makes the best seamless socks for people with AFOs. My son is now 7 and has been using them since he was 10.5 months old. He now uses the big toe strap and am so thankful SmartKnit has that option as well. No redness, and he is very comfortable while getting the support he needs. He has had the same socks for almost 4 years and besides them getting small because he is growing, they are in great shape!

My son has to wear afo’s for school but the socks get pretty dirty and smelly so I amI was able find them and purchase more

WHITE SOCKS WITH TOE: I've ordered smartknit socks for many years for my special needs child. I ordered all regular child size with the toe. The size on the packaging is correct, but they all measured smaller than they're suppose to be. They're suppose to be 14 inches, but they measured at 12-13 inches. The big toe area is so small now, its hurting my son's toe. The material is not the same either, they aren't as as soft and thick as they use to be. (The 2 pairs of smartknit socks we received directly from our orthotic/prosthetic clinic 6 months ago, had the same issues as these socks we ordered from Amazon.)BLACK SOCKS WITH TOE: The toe area was bigger, and the sizing was correct compared to the white toe socks. But the material is very thin and provides no cushion. Also had a hole between the toes.Compared to the previous pairs we've ordered, the quality has definitely gone down and is no longer worth the expensive price. I'm very disappointed that it wasn't a fluke and don't plan on ordering smartknit products anymore if they don't fix these issues.

This fit great on our two year old. They work well with his toe separator on his AFO, and come up high enough so there is no rubbing.

Bought these for my daughter and her new AFOs as she has a strap to separate her big toe. Not only and they smaller than expected but between the big toe and the rest of the toes, teeters already getting a hold in them. The big toe is also smaller than it stated.

Absolutely love them work perfectly to put strap between toes. Only problem is they very expensive.

4 out of 5 stars because of how expensive these are. People that are in need of these style socks (specifically the split toe style) already have so much extra cost with braces and adaptive daily needs items, it would be nice if these socks could come at a more comfortable price point. We buy them for our 5 year old son because we have to. They are very well made, however they are VERY difficult to put on especially with someone with low muscle tone.We are very appreciative that there's a company/people that make these so our son has one less discomfort in his day.I would highly recommend, if you can afford them.

Finally found a toe AFO sick! Love it. Comfortable sock (the toe strap on other hand hurts).
