Easy To Use and Very Accurate
This meter works very well. I have been on a low carb diet for 3 weeks now, and have actually been semi-fasting for the last 36 hours. The meter showed my ketone level at 4.7, which is spot on for someone who started fasting. The kit comes with everything you need for 10 ketone tests and 10 glucose tests. Once you know the process, it's easy to use.One bit of advice for people who aren't diabetic and have no experience with finger pricks or meters. There's a lot of instructions that come with this, but I don't recall seeing specifically how to add your blood to the test strip. So, I put a drop of blood ON to the testing area, and the meter showed an error. I tried a second test strip with even more blood, and got another error. Then I watched a video about how to do this, and saw I was adding the blood wrong. Once you have a matchstick size drop of blood on your finger, you dip the tip of the test strip into it, and it sucks the blood up like a straw. Once I did that, the meter worked fine.

Read the instructions
I typically rate products somewhat on how intuitive I find them to open and use without reading instructions. This one is not that way, for example, you need to let the blood suck up with capillary action instead of dropping a drop on the end. I admit I tried it with a bleeding cut and decided to try while I was bleeding and I couldn't get it to read. The lancet doesn't have a good slam and barely breaks the skin on the highest setting.Sometime after ordering this product I've developed eating habits where I can tell when I'm deriving energy from Ketones versus glucose or going in and out there from. I don't eat many carbs anyway and just having some homemade bread I feel a difference. My point, I don't find I need to monitor my Ketones or Glucose levels to be healthy so I'll not need to use this product in the future. It seems well made other than the lancing plunger. It comes in a case and looks professionally packaged, i.e. not cheapo looking, well other than the lancing device.

Seems to work okay
This ketone tester I THINK works alright. I haven't been able to be particularly thorough though as it only includes 10 strips and boxes of additional test strips haven't been available any time I've checked in the near month I've had the thing.I haven't been able to find much information on the company though, they do have a reasonable amount of positive impressions here on amazon but that's about it, and again, replacement test strips seem to be at a premium. I don't know if it's compatible with other brands' strips either.I used a few strips in close proximity to each other and they all gave similar results. I also tested a few days later after going off of keto and saw substantial change, so I think it's a reasonably accurate machine. Unfortunately I've been out of strips for a couple weeks and I guess that's that.

Looked great, nice case and easy to handle, just wouldn't read the strips.
I tried. I really did. The finger pricker barely broke my skin, like constantly tried, set to "9", I would feel the lancet, but it wouldn't strike deep enough to bring blood. Then, once I finally got my blood drawn, when I tried to use the test strip the system kept kicking back that it was a used strip. So, apparently once you plug the strip in it marks it as used and if you take the strip out, or power the device off, it can't be used any more. Very disappointing. So now it just sits in my cabinet, unused.

First time users may find confusion
KETO-DOC Advanced Blood Ketone Testing Kit performs two different types of tests, Glucose and Ketone. Each test requires a corresponding collection strip. Each type of strip is identified on the outside of their packet. Ketone strips also include a number on the opposite side of the packet. The number found on the package should match the kits KET computer chip which is used in combination to perform Ketone testing. GLU testing is performed in the same manner but without the KET key and using the designated Glucose collection strip. Two types of tests and each requires their own method using the KETO-DOC electronic reader to view results. The kit comes with a lancing apparatus too. This is a separate device that is used to draw a drop of blood from the fingertip. The blood is necessary for each type of test hence the matching collection strips. Separate instructions are included with device along with lancet inserts.

Keto-Doc Monitor
I ordered this Keto-Doc monitor as a way to check my ketone levels. It serves as a glucose monitor as well. The kit, which comes in a nifty little hard case, has everything you need to get started…even includes a AAA battery for the monitor itself…and, for the most part, the instructions are easy to understand. I will say, though, that the print is quite tiny on the ketone and glucose inserts. I had to magnify those in order to be able to read them. Luckily, the print in the manual itself and the quick start guide isn’t that small. One thing that isn’t fully explained is the depth selector on the lancet device. You can change it from 1-9, but I didn’t find anything to identify what those numbers mean. I figure 1 creates a very shallow finger prick and 9 creates the deepest. I chose 5, and that worked well for me. It didn’t sting at all, but was deep enough for me to express the amount of blood needed for the test strip. (Speaking of test strips, as another reviewer mentioned, I didn’t see anywhere to order more on Amazon. Ketodoc does offer them for sale on their website, though.)As far as its accuracy, I have to take that on faith until I can check the results against those done at the doctor’s office. Overall, though, I think this is a pretty decent monitoring kit.

Really easy to use
You're going to want to look at the instructions for this one, since it can be used to measure both blood sugar and ketones, so you need to calibrate it to measure ketones each time you use it for that. It is pretty fast, though. I've used it mostly for measuring ketone and I think it is accurate. I really like it.The case it comes in is firm and helps protect the device. The device that pokes you likes to fight with me, however. The button does not always cooperate.
