Fun little microcontroller
I'm used to raspberry pi. I've got a bunch ranging from pico's to pi 5's.I thought it would be fun to give this a try and see how it compared. One of the biggest difference to raspberry pi is that this is geared towards education. Although you can program using standard python, one of the main ways to program this thing is using the MakeCode editor. Which is a drag and drop type of programming interface where you create programs by arranging command blocks. It's a very simple way of programming, but for someone young it would be a great starting place. There are lots of ways this board can interact with the environment too. Way more than my pi's have. And there's an incredible amount of educational resources available online to guide you through making programms.Really can't recommend it enough. Would be an amazing gift for a young person who has an interest in computing. It's a really well designed board, with tons of features and amazing learning resources.
