Virtually indestructable!!!
I bought this bike stem for my son's beach cruiser bike. My son is 6 ft 4 inches and he rides his bike rough! The handlebars usually start coming loose rather quickly, because he likes standing on the peddles and pushing down on the handlebars when he rides his bike. This bike stem has 4 nuts that tightly grip the handlebar so that it's virtually impossible to come loose. It's the strongest bike stem I've ever seen!!!

Nice part - but does not look to be the XLC ST-T01
I was confused on the product information - so I am writing this review to help clarify. But when I write an Amazon review - I cringe that I leave myself open to receive emails into perpetuity - asking it this part will fit their bicycle. So please allow me to answer that question now - I don't know if this part will fit your particular bicycle. Sorry, but you'll have to review the specs and dimensions - like I did - and make your own decision. Anyway, I purchased and installed this stem. It installed with no problems. However, it appears to be the XLC-part ST-T02 - not the ST-T01. Looking at the XLC-parts webpage my stem seems to match article number: 2501524200. This part has a black matte finish. It is not sliver "colour" as indicated on the XLC-parts web page for article number 2501524200. The ST-T01 has a solid handlebar clamp and the ST-T02 has an opening in the handlebar clamp - and my stem has this opening therefore I believe I have the ST-T02. This stem appears to be made from aluminum material. This part has a 22.2 mm or 7/8 inch diameter stem size that fit my 1 inch diameter fork headset. This 22.2 mm or 7/8 inch number refers to the diameter of the stem that fits into the headset opening. This stem can clamp a 25.4 mm or 1 inch diameter handlebar. This stem can be adjusted from 0 degrees (right angle) to 60 degrees. I believe the 'projection' aspect refers to how the center of the handlebar is horizontally displaced from the vertical axis of rotation at the center of the headset. Of course, when dimensions need to be communicated - mankind has invented the 'drawing'. And a 'drawing' would be very useful here - like something created from CAD. But a drawing is not provided on the XLC-parts web page. So, I believe the center of the handlebar will be 100mm when measured from the vertical rotating axis of the stem - and when locked into the right angle position. However, I have not verified this measurement.XLC-parts appears to be a German firm and the product packaging indicated this part is made in Taiwan. BTW, the product packaging did not list the article number or contain a label of ST-T01 or ST-T02. I purchased this adjustable stem to bring my handlebars in closer to the seat - and it worked. Seems like a good quality component.

Blends nicely with classic 80s Giant road bike
The stem blends nicely with the classic look on my late 80s vintage Giant road bike while lifting the bars to a more reasonable position for my 50+ year old frame. So far it seems very solid. I was going to use it temporarily to help me decide where I want the bars before I place a threadless adapter and threadless stem; but I don't think I'm going to bother now. It's nice that the bars can be removed without stripping the tape and brake levers. It's also a plus that I can now mount my Cateye cyclocomputer to the stem since Cateye makes a mount for threadless stems, which this one emulates. The only bummer was that I had to run new cables for the brakes since I moved the bars significantly from their original position.

Helps with posture if you're a big guy like me!!!!
You don't think much when you get a bicycle stem already mounted to your bike. You might play with the height of it but that's it.With this fully adjustable one, not only can you play with the height up and down, but you can adjust the distance the handlebars sit from you!!!With this its either slouch forward to reach my cruiser bars on my beach cruiser, or adjust the bars back towards me so I can sit up right and have decent posture when riding for an hour or more! Highly recommend these!

Works well and looks good. Better quality than what comes stock on the ...
The stem is 25.4mm or 1-1/8 inch. The handlebar clamp is 25.4mm or 1-1/8 inch. This is apparently an unusual size because both the sets I bought were returned by other people, but it's what I needed for my Mogoose Dozer and Mongoose Beast so that I could use a different handlebar than what came on the bike. Works well and looks good. Better quality than what comes stock on the mongoose.

Not too pretty, but it works
It does what I needed it to do, but is less than elegant. The finish is rough and the plastic bolt cover looks cheap. It does seem solidly made, and I love the fact that I can play with the adjustment to get it just right.

1-1/8" stem is actually 1"
Fits my old mountain bike perfectly. Brings my handle bars up and to a much more comfortable position. I measured my existing stem was 25.4 cm or 1 inch. This fits into my 1-1/8" frame perfectly. Can be very confusing as the 1-1/8" actual measurement is 1". Be careful and do your research and perform accurate measurements before ordering.

Excellent upgrade and upright riding position for inexpensive mountain bike.
Bought this to replace the stem on a very inexpensive Next brand mountain bike. Fit perfectly, is much more adjustable, and gave me the upright riding position that I was looking for. I'm thrilled with this as I was concerned it wouldn't fit. Very sturdy, seems well constructed and the price was right too.
