Not Perfect, But Very Useful For Cycling
I'm 5'7" and 136 lbs, and the medium size fits my muscular legs well. The butt is not tight, the waist is about right, but the pants are cut a bit too low in the back, so your intergluteal cleft will be exposed if you don't wear something else longer under or over these. I wear them over bike shorts and leggings for extra warmth on my glutes and thighs when the temps are below about 55F. They aren't waterproof, but they give decent protection from a light to medium rain when worn over leggings. I wanted to only give these 3 stars because they are over-priced and the fit is odd, and the cut is wrong in the back. But, I'm wearing them a lot and finding them very comfortable to bike in over bike shorts and with leggings, so I will be generous and bump it up to a 4. This is a private party review and I did not get paid or a free sample or anything of the sort. How does one get on that gravy-train, anyway?

Very nice product -- solidly built
Overall, this is a very nice cycling garment. Fit is at least a half-size small: I have a 36 waist and the XL fits exactly; the L would have been too small; luckily, other reviews tipped me off to this so I ordered the right waist size. However, I wear a 34 inch inseam and the bottom hem of the leg, even in XL, only comes a couple of inches below the knee; a couple more inches longer would have been better (I find that a lot of products like this don't recognize that larger people -- at least larger cyclists -- tend to have longer legs.) Design and production quality are very good: waist has snaps, inside drawstring, velcro closure, zip fly and belt loops. Cuffs have stretch drawstring which is adjusted by a nifty little pinch clasp in each leg that fits into a tiny interior pocket. Fabric quality seems good: it's hard and shiny out of the package but after washing is a softer black with a nice feel. Leg diameter seems about right: not too tight and not too blousey. Lots of pockets. This is a very good knicker for everyday riding, but some reflective detailing would have been nice.

Awesome Pants
These things feel great. The material is something like a parachute (thankfully these don't look anything like those cool parachute pants you could buy at Chess King back in the 80s). Really light, soft and comfortable. I did a three hour bike ride today with them (using liner cycling shorts underneath - there's no padding on these pants) in a cool area near San Francisco and they were awesome. I don't agree with the one reviewer who says the elastic cord at the bottom is uncomfortable when you raise your knees while pedaling, I felt no discomfort raising my knees. Maybe that's an issue if you're really tall, I'm 6 feet. I can't imagine they'd provide much warmth if you're riding in a Minnesota winter but they'll be perfect for riding to work and wearing around this fall/winter/spring here in the Bay Area. Don't let the ladies keep all the capris pants for themselves, get yourself a pair.

almost perfect
I really like these cycling pants. They're great for touring, commuting or cycling around town. The synthetic material is lightweight, cool, and dries quickly. Fit is "slim" but not tight, and the legs narrow at the end to hug your calf. I have a 30" inseam and the mediums come down to mid-calf. The pockets are functional. The pants are seamless in the saddle area and very comfortable to ride in.The tightening system is unusual: a short, thin lace hangs down from each side (on the inside where you can't see it, of course). Each has tiny snaps you close to form a small loop. Drawstrings through the waistband hang down in the front on either side, and you pull them snug and tie them to the loops. Not obvious at first glance, but works well once you figure it out.Highly recommended.

Fit is a little weird
So I got the large, and the fit around the legs/crotch is about what I'd expect, but the fit at the waist is REALLY loose. And tying something with those little string ties around the waist never works. I'd have to wear a belt, but I don't want to have to wear a belt while riding. But overall, they're good quality for the price, don't regret buying them, just not sure what I did wrong with picking a size. If I got something smaller, so the waist would fit, then it would choke the life out of my thighs and man bits.

Fit is two sizes small
I buy clothes online all the time, and these pants are definitely have size wrong as compared to almost every other brand I have purchased. I bought XXXL based on previous reviews a size larger than I normally buy, and I could not get pants past my thighs. Based on this, I would need a 5X size to fit me, which is ludicrous. Luckily, my young teenage size can use them. Looks and quality of material is very good. If it were not for this and my son wanting them, I would have rated it much lower.

DON' TRUST THE SIZING CHART
I will start off with saying these are great knickers, comfortable, lightweight but now onto the bad. ZOIC doesn't have a clue on sizing, their chart is way off (I sold cycling gear for 31 years at REI and my position was Master Technician and designed/tested equipment).I am disabled now and wear an XL in everything but after reading a review I ordered an XXL and it was to small so this time I ordered a XXXL and it is still to small!! Buyer beware!!!!Rich

A good pair of knickers to wear over tights
If you are prepared to look silly, these are fine knickers for cycling. The material is a little thin, but stretchy, and they are cut long. Look, I ride recumbents, so I already look odd, so these plus-four style pants hardly detract. Not cheap, but not too expensive, and are light, kinda elastic and well-cut. Order one size up -- I usually wear XL, but after reading other comments, plumped for the XXL.
