RTI Toolkit: A Practical Guide for Schools

As a 1st year School Psychologist that was put in charge of coordinating and implementing an RTI program in a school that had issues implementing it in the past, this book has been a tremendous help and guidance! This book addresses the steps of implementation and strategies for each tier. Just like the title says, it's practical and it demystifies some of the ambiguity of RTI. The author is also the creator of interventioncentral.org, which I also recommend as a useful and free RTI tool. I think this is the first time I've ever taken the time to rate anything on Amazon, so trust me when I say this book is a god send haha !

This was just what I was looking for. My school district is in the preliminary implementation phase of Response to Intervention (RtI) and I wanted to learn more about it. This is one of 4 books I have bought on the subject and I really like them all...including this one. I recommend it to anyone wanting to get a handle on what RtI is and how to implement it.

Wonderful resource for those faced with a sometimes over-whelming process. Teachers will find it especially helpful.

This book is great if the RTI process is relatively new to you or your building. It discusses why and how to establish an RTI team to help recommend interventions to your staff. The only real problem is that many of the interventions it lists aren't really interventions, but teaching strategies which would be Tier 1 interventions. Most schools need help finding Tier 2 interventions.

The RTI Toolkit is just that, a toolkit resource full of functional forms, samples, and ideas for implementing RTI in your district.
