Be WARNED!! This IS NOT for the D90, 3100 and 7000...
This cable DOES NOT work with the D3100 for sure and since Promote Systems shows the same cable fitting the D90, D3100, and D7000 I would hazard to bet serious cash this also DOES NOT work with those as well!!!! I was ripped off being lead to believe this is the right cable. I schedules the time to practice and prepare both a Time Laps and HDR shoot only to have to cancel! Were I anyone else, someone would be getting a call from my lawyer seeking restitution for money lost and time wasted!The Promote System Control is still the absolute best HDR and time laps/sequence control unit around. You just have to make darn sure your camera will accept the cable you MUST have to use it that DOES NOT COME WITH THE UNIT!!!!!

Poor connection
The pins did not align properly. need to have a better means of alignment to connect the cable to the camera. very poor connection system

Works as intended.
Got this cable to go with my D4 and it works like a charm. So if you have the main unit, this is a no-brainer.
