Perfect when used for it's intended purpose.
The USB cable that comes with a Nikon DSLR is NOT a standard USB cable, and is not compatible with a Promote Control. In order to use the optional shutter cable with a Promote Control, this adapter is required. You plug your manufacturer provided Nikon USB cable into your camera, the other end of the Nikon cable goes into this adapter. Then the loose end of this adapter plugs into the Promote Control, and allows full use of the Promote. It works perfectly when used for this purpose. Nice tight connection, perfect length. A must, if you plan to use a Nikon DSLR optional shutter cable, with a Promote Control.
