Oliver!

Please note I have also written a review for the 1968 Musical Film this soundtrack is taken from. As a child my mother introduced me to two musicals 'Oliver' and 'Sound of Music'. I would be hard-pressed to say which musical is best, but for the choreography and for song and music composition this film wins in my opinion. I have such fond memories dancing to these songs from the vinyl record my mother had of the original soundtrack; so to hear these tracks once again brings back some of my childhood. I know this musical gave me my lifelong love of this genre up to the present day and this particular film still shows how it should be done. I purchased this CD nearly a decade ago but I do go back to it and enjoy all the songs on a regular basis.

I bought this secondhand for a few pound. I love the film and love these songs you just got to sing a long songs like “got to pick a pocket or 2 boys” I’m sure they do not seem to play in order to the film but that’s ok. Anyway I love this album and I had to buy it.

Great CD but not perfect. It cuts out a verse of Pick a Pocket or Two and cuts out a huge amount of Oom Pah Pah. I'm guessing it's just the studio version of the songs but it's a shame.

very nostalgic, just as good as when i first saw the film donkeys years ago. well worth having.

Brilliant! I love the movie so wanted a CD of the songs. Oddly the songs are in the wrong order but it doesn't really make a difference to enjoying listening to them!
