SEI Inspector EXP Microprocessor-Based Ionizing Radiation Detector with External Detector

I got it in today, and the unit worked flawlessly. The probe is very sensitive to alpha, beta, gamma radiation, and the probe is outstanding. I was able to easily identify slightly radioactive rocks in my back yard, and also radioactive sources such as Americium-241. Although it is a bit pricey, I think the extra cost is worth it. The product also comes with a nice protective case and a small-size CD containing instructions and a catalog. Absolutely loved the detector. Just as advertised. Works great and seems vary accurate, make sure to only use with pancake sensor, it is only calibrated for the attached sensor.

wow! what can i say, I'm a huge collector of uranium rocks and different samples and this is very prices and accurate! battery lasts a long time, and having the sensor detached from the unit, you can be farther away from what your reading (SAFTY wise).I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS!i will buy another soonalso, this may be a bit pricey but its solo worth it in the long run!

This item works just as advertised. Since we may need these more and more, and since I know how these work and what it would cost to manufacture, it is a little bit pricey, which is the only reason, I am marking it down.However, I would prefer one just like it with a long rod type tip so I could place it easily close to the ground without bending down. Perhaps they could manufacture an accessory to go with it.

This thing is well made, accurate right out of the box, VERY energy efficient (I'm still on my first 9v battery and it's been on for 200+ hours). Top of the line for a counter.

X-rays are produced in the electron cloud an are of lower energy than gammas, which are produced in the nucleus and of higher energy.

I have ten geigers and run a small lab. This is the best all around geiger for the money out there. I live on Kauai and just retired from a 15 year radio show. I sued this to do a lot of testing. Shipped fast and arrived perfectly.

Detector for radiation of air and surfaces. Minimal time needed to learn to operate and start using. Feels solid and well made. Price is somewhat high, but the quality is there. Used for three months. Made in the USA. Highly recommended.
