I bought these for my kitchen. Everything I open my oven while it's in use my smoke detector goes off from the heat. These are easy to take on and off. I have used the same one for months. No more smoke detector going off because I want to cook something in my oven.

Good quality product

Using this cover, I can finally pan fry at high temperatures on my stove without the alarm going off incessantly. I always take the cover off after I am done cooking. Also when I have the cover on, I am careful about not leaving anything cooking on the stove to do something else like I would sometimes do otherwise. If you plan to use this cover like how I'm using it, please be safe.

Some detectors will still need to be taped off if the paint detail matters. If the detector has a flared “foot” then this will possibly only cover the working part of the unit and not the base.

I got these because every time I make pizza my alarm goes off. I double them up on each alarm and they work great. Kinda ugly, but that's good otherwise I would probably leave them up by accident.

I love this item. I have a gas stove and when I opened the oven door, my alarms would go off from the heat. While cooking, I use the covers. They work like a charm. Reminds me of shower hats for fire alarms
