Top-notch saga storytelling
Written straight from the heart, All Change at the Beach Hotel is another first-rate saga from Francesca Capaldi.World War One has been declared and life has changed beyond all recognition. While the young men have gone to do their duty for king and country, the women have been left behind to keep the home fires burning. Each day is a constant struggle and with food becoming scarcer and scarcer, running a business like The Beach Hotel in the town of Littlehampton has become impossible- as Welsh waitress Lili can witness first hand.Leaving her demanding family behind for a fresh start in Sussex had been a dream come true for Lili, but her sunny personality hides sorrow and heartbreak as she worries about her sweetheart Norman who is missing in action. The man she loves might be presumed dead, but Lili is not about to give up hope even if the odds are stacked against her. Romance is the very last thing on her mind, but when she meets fellow Welshman Rhodri, Lili finds herself drawn to the injured soldier. But how can she be in love with Rhodri when she is promised to another? When Lili gets news from home that her mother is gravely ill, she is left with no other choice but to return back home. As a surfeit of emotions threaten to overwhelm her the minute she sets foot in Wales, Lili is forced to make the hardest choice of all: choose her family over the life she fought so hard for.Francesca Capaldi writes engrossing and emotional wartime sagas that entrance readers and she has done it again with All Changes at the Beach Hotel. Involving, immersive and heart-wrenching, this captivating saga is full of pathos, drama and strong characters that reel readers in from the off and keep them glued to the book’s pages until the very end.A brilliantly written saga of love, courage and sacrifice, All Changes at the Beach Hotel by Francesca Capaldi will delight fans of Lizzie Lane and Rosie Clarke.I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A great second book in this lovely series.
I hadn’t read any of Francesca’s books before reading A new start at the Beach Hotel but now I am hooked! I thoroughly enjoyed All change at the Beach Hotel, perhaps even a little more than the first book because we learned more about the characters. They are brought to life so well and, as I have lived locally for many years, I could really picture the places they visited. I’m now just about to start the third book in the series and I’m very much looking forward to reading it. Thank you Francesca, I am having a great deal of pleasure reading your books. You are a very talented author.

Loved it!
I have been a fan of Francesca's work for a few years now. I have read and thoroughly enjoyed several of her books to date although I have a fair way to go to catch up with everything that she has written. I must admit that I have a particular fondness for the series set in 'The Beach Hotel'. I read, loved and reviewed the first book in the series, which is called 'A New Start At The Beach Hotel' and it was released earlier this year (2023). I have been impatiently waiting for the second book in the series to be released. Well ladies and gents the wait is over because the second book is called 'All Change At The Beach Hotel' and it was released on 20th July 2023. It's a cracking addition to a cracking series. I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'All Change At The Beach Hotel' but more about that in a bit.As soon as I started reading 'All Change At The Beach Hotel', I felt as though I had reunited with old friends in the shape of Lili Probert and the rest of the staff of the hotel. I also realised that I was reading something special and that I would be doing nothing other than reading for the rest of the afternoon as I wouldn't be able to put the book down. I was spot on with my predictions. My copy of the book was well travelled that day. It wasn't exactly glued to my hand but might as well have been because it travelled everywhere with me. I couldn't bear to miss a single second of the story. I had my own theories as to what was going to happen so I had to keep reading to see if I was anywhere near the truth or if I had wandered off in the opposite direction. I became so wrapped up in the story and in the lives of the different characters that I lost all track of time and just how quickly I was getting through the story. All too quickly I reached the end of 'All Change At The Beach Hotel'. I found 'All Change At The Beach Hotel' to be a gripping and emotional story, which held my attention throughout.'All Change At The Beach Hotel' is superbly written but then I have come to expect nothing less from Francesca Capaldi. Francesca has an easy going writing style that is easy to get used to and easy to get along with. Francesca certainly knows how to grab the reader's attention and draw them into what proves to be one hell of a read. Francesca clearly cares about her characters and this shines through in the very vivid and realistic way in which she describes them. She really does make her characters seem just as real as you and I. Francesca has clearly done an awful lot of research into the time period in which this story is set and this makes the story seem that bit more authentic. Anybody who knows me, knows that I am also a historical fiction nerd as well as a book geek. Reading books such as Francesca's books are the nearest I am going to get to travelling back in time and finding out what life was like for my grandparents and great grandparents, who all died before I was born. I love the way in which Francesca makes the reader feel as though they are part of the story and at the heart of the action. That's how I fell anyway. In short , I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'All Change At The Beach Hotel' and I wholeheartedly recommend this book to other readers. I will certainly be reading more of Francesca's work in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*.

Depends on the readers tast
I have only read five chapters. I'm finding it slow going and not my cup of tea at all.To me it's a bit Mills and Boons. As I enjoy a good murder mystery this is to gentle for my taste. Why did I bury it then? Thought it a change.
