The dipwand is very easy to use, the instructions are pretty self explanatory. It seems to be consistent with it’s readings and pretty accurate within a few degrees. It lacks some of the bells and whistles that come with more expensive options, but it suits my purposes quite well. I am grateful that I didn’t spend $100-$300 on another product to do the same job.

The media could not be loaded.  I don't use this a lot, but when I get a new banger, this does a great job of figuring out how well and where the banger is holding heat and costs half of what terpometer charges. Is an integrated dab pick worth twice the price? No way!

I own a DabRite, a Terpometer, and now the latest addition is the Dipwand which i purchased when my Terpometer started acting up. After about two weeks of use, i can say im very happy i decided to give it a try!The dipwand is very similar the terpometer with the exception of the dab tool on the opposite end of the terpometer (which i almost never use anyways) but they both use the same removable thermocouple to actually read the temp. This is a benefit over the DabRite as it can read the wall of a terp slurper vs only checking the bottom with the IR based DabRite.The probe used on the DipWand is about 40% longer then the stock Terpometer probe, which makes it prefect for fitting into the deep bangers, blenders, and slupers on todays market - which was a major issue with the smaller probe on the terpometer. While terpometer does offer a longer probe, but at a $60 upcharge this really puts the two on totally different price points while offering almost the same, if not better, functionality right out of the box with the dipwand.The only thing i can tell apart from the Dipwand is the probe has a standard stainless finish on it where the terpometer has a nice polished gunmetal finish, but outside of that they function almost exactly the same. They both light up multiple colors depending on the heat, however the Dipwand only lights up when its above 300*f which means its hard to tell its on unlike the terpometer that has a built-in backlight.Is the polished probe finish, a constant on back light, and a silly dab tool on the terpometer really worth almost 4x as much? Not in my book, hopfully this marks the age of better prices and innovation in the low-temp dab market. If you had any doubts about getting this, toss them out the window and pull the trigger - you will not be unhappy.That being said, keep in mind this is a manual probe and will need to be held against the banger to check the temp. It takes some time to get use to, and this is where the DabRite really shines as a hands free competitor and just sits under the banger and beeps when its ready. You can adjust the warning temp, it has third party bases and add ons, and overall is a very smooth interface. Its bulky and takes up more room making it less portable compared to a pen-style temp reader like this dipwand or the terpometer, but having it monitor the banger temp while you get a dab ready helps streamline the process.All in, they each have their ups and downs - but for my needs this dipwand really fits the bill and blew my mind away at the value you get. I personally got the stainless version, but thinking about picking up a colored one for my buddy and can update my review with some details about the colored surface finish - but as of now the steel colored one looks fire!Hope it helps, and low temp dabs for the win!!The

Very useful to get the temperature inside a glass banger, or at the end of a nectar collector, and does so up to extremely high temperatures. After just a single night with this thing It's at 75% battery with the charge already on device when delivered, which I feel more than acceptable. Comes with usb cable to recharge. The auto off feature is great given my attention span, however it auto turned off on me while taking the temperature a second time and now I press the on button once to ensure it stays on. The color coded temperatures are easy to see, which helps to deliver delicious flavor and consistency in consumption. Prior to using this, my only wish was to have customizable temperature ranges, and saved profiles for those ranges, however the temperature ranges seem adequate for what it's intended for. The tip rotates but not without loosening perhaps instead of a line pattern an updated version could use and X pattern which would help with perpendicular surfacesDespite some very minor setbacks I absolutely love this thing, my throat and lungs are much happier. I envision these devices being closer to 20 someday but even at 40 it represents a useful and valuable addition to my gadgets.

Works great every time, but can't fit it into my longer bangers, have to measure on the outside but you don't dab from the outside so that isn't very accurate. For your standard banger, worth the savings over the name brand.

I have both the DR and this device…go with this device. A fraction the cost and really, it’s more accurate.
