The pressure sensitive self-adhesive backing will hold binding (temporary at first in case you need to re position) to the back side of the carpet while a small bead of hot glue with assure the edge is protected and looks beautiful. Dusty and old but worked okay.
In all this product worked and it looked good when finished. However it must have been sitting on a dusty back room shelf for quite a long time before the shipped it to me. The glue was not as tacky as it should have been and I had to add my own glue to keep it stuck to the back of my carpet.
