Glad I bit the bullet
Here's a bit of irony: I've always been a "car buff," but never dealt much with the nuts and bolts of it all. I'm a nerd that knows the mechanics and specs of things yet haven't really gotten my hands dirty. So, my Nissan Rogue's air filter crapped out and Walmart didn't have a replacement for me. Loving cars, I've always heard of K&N having a great reputation but never had experience with them. After seeing countless bad reviews for $15, throw-away filters, I decided to bite the bullet and spend $40 on this guy.To be honest (embarrassing), I had never even changed an air filter before. It was simple to clean out the housing and follow K&N's simple instructions. The filter was surprisingly lubed up and went in easily.Comparing the engine sound before and after the filter swap... WOW. I didn't think I'd notice such a difference. Granted, I think my car was suffocating prior, but the audible difference was night and day. I'm getting, on average, about 3mpg better fuel economy and a little nicer pickup. The quality and construction is top notch and I love that it's reusable. It'll be in the car longer than I keep the car. It's not marketing or fluff. Take it from a skeptic that this thing makes a noticeable difference, in a number of ways, and will be a real bargain in the long-run. Highly recommended!

Easy install and a great product!!
I use K&N air filters in all my vehicles (when possible). I recently purchased a 2009 Nissan Rogue and traded in my 2005 Ford Taurus. Since the Taurus had a K&N filter and I noticed considerable difference in performance and fuel economy I also purchased a K&N filter for my 2012 HD Road King. With buying the Nissan Rogue and my wife buying a VW Beetle, my first purchase for the vehicles was a K&N air filter. Install was a breeze on the Nissan Rogue, have yet to attempt it on the VW Beetle. I noticed a difference in engine sound, and performance right away. K&N makes a fantastic product and I will always stand by them.

Great value for our Infinity
I got this filter because the original filters from the manufacturer were pricey. I like the following aspects:Great fit and easy installation.. Easy to clean with the cleaning kit purchased separated.I think it is a good investment in the long term because these filters are durable and you save big money.

I love it so far!
My dad has always upgraded to K&N for all of his vehicles. So here I am, too.I have a 2014 Nissan Sentra SV (2013-2016 will be the same, B17).Installation: Super easy. Pop the hood. Pop the grommet. Pop the plastic. Remove the two fasteners. Slide out the filter. Put new one in. Slide it back. Fasten it. Put the plastic tube back on. Pop on the rubber grommet. Done. Took about 4 minutes.Sound: Was expecting more...throatiness. But that was me having high expectations. Maybe, just maybe, there might be a different engine tone.Performance: Drove it for ten or fifteen minutes, city and highway. Felt about the same. Since it's a CVT, 25-45 MPH seems like I have a bit better throttle response. Best way to explain it is less lag.MPG: Will have to update you on that.Overall I am happy with it. I needed a new filter, why not K&N? It will last the car it's own lifetime. Sure, the recharge kit cost some, but as I said, my dad has a K&N in his vehicles, so a kit is always there, and I plan on having a K&N on my future vehicles. That's not an issue. Plus, less landfill waste. Win/Win.It''s also nice that you "modded" your car. Wish it came with an additional sticker to put on your vehicle or whatever you wish to put it on, similar to how Dynojet has their stickers for motorcycle swingarms.

Awesome filter for noticeable performance improvement
Bought this for a 2010 Nissan Rogue. After I figured out how to open the air filter holder, installation was less than a minute. It probably took longer to put the sticker on the filter cover alerting mechanics not to remove the filter. Should have installed this filter a long time ago. Why? Because the Rogue's CVT tends to make the engine produce a kind of whining sound at mid to high rpms, especially going uphill. Near where I live is a section of road (famous with cyclists) called "the Wall." After I put this filter in and ascended this hill at the usual 45mph speed limit, my car's engine no longer makes this noise apparently because it doesn't have to work as hard. That's how awesome this filter is. Highway acceleration and getting up to speed from standstill are also noticeably easier. I haven't had it long enough to determine if it improves mileage, yet it is beyond obvious that it improves engine performance. And I did something green by installing it: no more throwing out used filters. Highly recommended. Wish car manufacturers would jump on the green bandwagon and factory install this.
