Iced Out is the first book in the Heston U Hotshots series. Love that it started off with the team roster listing all the players and the coaches, as well as a campus map…so fun! I picked this one up because I’m currently obsessed with hockey romances and this one delivered! 😍 It also includes: hero is her brother’s rival, he falls first, forced proximity, and no third act breakup!Easton is the new captain of Heston’s hockey team. And during a game he gets distracted the first time he spots the heroine, Maya. He doesn’t know who she is but he can’t look away. Later on he runs into her at the bar and rescues her from the rival team they just beat…only to find out she’s the sister of one of those players. Maya’s ex is on her brother’s team as well and after that failed relationship she swore off hockey players. But Easton is determined to woo her, especially when he learns they attend the same university.“You’re going to be kicking yourself for holding out on me, baby. I was obsessed with this book early on and even messaged the author to find out if other books exist in this series yet cause I need them all. 😆😍 The side characters are so fun, I want all of their books! I loved when he finds her stash of toys, he’s impressed and compares them to him being good at being a team player. There is period caretaking and a hero who loves and takes in a stray cat. Easton is swoony AF and I loved how supportive, protective, and how all in he is with Maya.“For so long, I believed all hockey players were heartless playboys who weren’t capable of giving a damn about anyone but themselves. Say hello to your next book boyfriend, everyone, because holy-freaking-moly, Easton freaking Blake! 😍Iced Out has been a HIGHLY anticipated read for me, and it did not disappoint! In fact, it topped my high expectations because it is THAT good. I devoured this book in one sitting.Easton Blake is the hotshot captain of the Heston U hockey team determined to make his dream of playing in the NHL a reality. One night after a rough loss to a rival, he notices a girl who caught his attention at the game dancing on the bar. The night ends with her leaving the bar over his shoulder. Come to find out, the sassy mystery girl turns out to be his rivals little sister who is not interested in hockey players.Easton Blake is nothing if not goal driven and determine when he sets his mind to something, and his goal is to get Maya to give him a chance. Slowly but surely, he breaks down her walls and becomes her friend before becoming so much more. 💙I love the way Easton loves Maya. I love the way he takes care of her when he knows she needs him. I LOVE the way he doesn’t hesitate to choose her over hockey, because he knows she’s his forever.Also, I related to Maya so strongly. First, with her mind and how anxiety (especially at night) can steal you of your peace. Second, with her sassy defense mechanism. But lastly, probably the one way I don’t want to resonate with her on, is how she lost her grandpa. I lost my grandma in a very similar fashion and when I tell you I bawled reading that part. My heart shattered for her!! (And if you read my last book review, I never cry when I read. But the last two books I’ve read are 2 for 2 on that, maybe I’m turning over a new leaf).This is such a beautiful love story. And it’s a hockey romance. AND there’s no third act break up. Win! Win!! WIN!!!The supporting characters are great, and I cannot wait to get the opportunity to read all of their stories! (Especially Noah, Cameron, and Theo’s hopefully🤞)Cannot recommend this book enough. Beautiful start to an amazing series! I cannot wait to head back to Heston Lake very soon.And if you haven’t checked out the prequel, Trick Play in the 2023 Billionaire and Babes Edition, I 10/10 recommend Alex and Lainey’s sweet story as well!

10 out of 10 recommend this book!! I love how the author didn’t have to make the main characters do something bad to each other in order for there to be a plot. They were there for each other and held one another when things got hard and I loved that they both related to similar trauma which helped them grow from it and create a closer bond. I need the rest of the series to come out!!!!

This book was so wholesome. Although the lead MMC is a cocky smoldering man he has his puppy dog moments. I loved his development along side the lead FMC and how they both changed together, in a way molding into the perfect couple for each other. They both have there trauma so there both understanding from the beginning of each others boundaries and I just loved this book so much !! Please read it if you ever get the chance. I do believe you won’t regret it. ❤️

This book right here was amazing I was laughing and crying with the characters I felt really connected with them. Mrs. Eden knew what she was doing when she wrote this book. She wrote it perfectly so you could bond with her character and actually want to read more this is a must read. Easton was a swoon worthy book boyfriend he said all the right things and his actions bagged it up. He took the challenge and conquered it and made Maya his woman. I loved how strong willed Maya was she knew what she wanted and what she didn't want. And when she put her mind to something she did it no matter how hard it was. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

I had been seeing this book all over insta and what not. I haven't read much by this author but decided to give this a try and see if the reviews were correct.This book was good. It just wasn't what I usually read.

EASTON BLAKE has definitely made it to the favourite book boyfriends' list.Easton Blake (MMC) and Maya Donnelly (FMC) were destined from the first to be together. I loved their dynamic and how they were able to keep a healthy balance within their relationship and among other things going on in their life. Maya, she was a strong, beautiful character who has a huge heart, she loves her family especially her grandpa, she works with animals and has a disdain for hockey players and vows never to date another one again. Easton was absolutely everything, I loved his flirty & playful personality and the way he never once gave up on asking Maya out and tried to get to know her even though she had sworn off hockey players after a previous breakup. I loved how Easton was always they for her during all the highs and lows, doing everything he can to care for her was amazing to see.I love how we got to see glimpses of Easton's team mates and how they've all got each others backs and are like a family. I need there to be a book on Madden, he seemed so mysterious and like liust need to know his story. This book was filled with many spicy scenes, flirting, and hot banters.
