Killer release
I didn't buy this when it first came out and the scalpers are asking too much for second hand products, so I was very pleased to see this re-release with extras on a 3 disk set. Vinyl pressings are so good these days that it's like listening to the clarity of CDs but with the warmth of analogue.Musically, an essential purchase for fans of early Alice Cooper records. I love the packaging, including the calendar, and the extra tracks.

Great Music!
KILLER EXPANDED CDI have listened to this album since it's release in LP. The live tracks and extras are a superb addition. Thanks to Rhino for releasing great Alice Cooper Group material. I would have liked to have the CD album packaging in keeping with the original LP. A miniature replica of the LP with the AC hanging photo calendar attached to the gatefold. Maybe it was considered to be not possible to manufacture (my LP calendar did fall off after a while of use) see photo or maybe the photo content may have not been very PC for 2023. Is this why the calendar was demoted to a small slot hidden in the internal booklet and not in prominence where it belongs? The 'A Fan's Note' could have been placed in the booklet. Anyway having said all this it's great stuff to have at last, good pictures, notes, raw sound ACG live music and will get played over and over.

Murder most Horrid
First official release of a live set by the Alice Cooper band since the 2001's release of the deluxe edition of "Billion Dollar Babies", but certainly been worth the wait.An amazing set from the Mar y Sol Pop Festival that shows the incredible musicianship of the band, with a lot of the songs extended into jams, there’s even some mean harp playing by Alice himself! Also, it’s nice to hear an Alice Cooper concert without hearing over-played standards like“Schools Out”, “Elected” & “Only Women Bleed” (although curiously the band do play a bit of the riff to “Schools Out” during “long way to go”).The three alternative tracks do not differ greatly from the finished articles, just a little rougher round the edges. The “Killer” studio album is my favourite by the Alice Cooper band, with a good mix of poppy rocks songs such as “Under my Wheels”, “Be My Lover” & “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” mixed with the more progressive Rock tracks “Halo of Flies”, “Dead Babies” & “Killer”.Great sound quality (the horns & the strings really pop), & in-depth liner notes by Alice, Dennis Dunaway, Michael Bruce, Neal Smith & Bob Ezin.

Alice Cooper :Killer (1971)....... 2023 2 disc version.
If you ask any rock fan for the best album of 1971,your likely to get the following answer - Zep 4,Sabbath's Master of Reality or maybe At The Filmore by the Allman's,all are excellent choices as is this album 'KILLER'.The Coop's 2nd release of 1971 following 'Love It To Death',WOW what a disc, superb from start to finish.Disc 1 is the original album remastered and it sounds wonderful, every track a classic, who hasnt raised a fist in the, air head bangin to 'Under My Wheels',a garage rock classic as is the next track 'Be My Lover' before 'Halo Of Flies' ups the ante,Honestly this album is outstanding, 'Desperado ' slinks out of the speakers all dark and moody while 'Dead Babies revels in its shock tactics (misunderstood by most critics .5 Stars all the way.Disc 2 a decent audio for a rough and ready gig from Puerto Rico, the entire Killer album apart 'Desperado' plus 3 from 'Love It To Death'.The disc finishes with 3 excellent alternative studio versions including a version of 'You Drive Me Nervous' which rivals the finished album version. The release comes in a neat digipak with excellent booklet and liner notes. Long overdue release.
