It's bad when you have so many records and CD's that you can't find one you own 2 times over, so you end up buying it for a third time! Still love this album and it's good to get it on the CD player.. Arrived in the post quickly... Thanks.

In an attempt to create my ultimate 80's/90's r&b collection of Cds I had to add Portrait to the mix! I have so many fond memories of hearing "Hear we Go".. a huge hit back in the early 90's , around the time that I was going to college out of state! Two of my favorite songs are Here we go, & Honey Dip, but they have such a wonderful assortment of beautiful songs..both upbeat and slow jams!Commitment, Precious Moments, Down wit dat, Day by day, Heartache were also very nice! If you are a fan of nice smooth 90's r&b this is a must have for your collection!

WOW! of all the new jack swing albums, this self titled record by the super talented group PORTRAIT is easily one of the very best of them!!. Production was super focused, every single song here is well written with perfect vocal and instrumental arrangements, all are gems in every sense of it. With a balanced setup of uptempo cuts and searing ballads fused in each song, "PORTRAIT" is indeed a supreme effort!!.Pulsing pieces are: "COMMITMENT", a real stunning song, then comes the super song "HONEY DIP" who doesn't love this one?. "HERE WE GO AGAIN" was the record that makes me became aware of PORTRAIT, it was played almost to "death" on the air, almost too good a song!!. "YOU" is a pulsing,swift ballady cut, real dandy too. "DOWN WIT DAT" is perfect for any party, home or club, it's as good as they come. "FEELINGS", is another fast ballad of sorts, goodness, how groovy and busy can you get at the same time?. "PROBLEMS" will surely get you dancing. (dancing away your problems.) Outstanding record.More ballad like works are: "ON AND ON", pounding, sensuous and creamy, a favorite here. Many of my friends was in an almost bitter dispute that "PRECIOUS MOMENTS" is the ultimate song recorded on this particular album, to each their own, nonetheless it is indeed a very excellent song!!. "DAY BY DAY" is my personal favorite recording on this amazing set, so tender,so sweet, so passionate, I really feel this one deep inside my heart, so right. Another personal hit is the tight laced "HEARTACHE" indeed a fantastic output. Even with talent, it must surely take a lot of work to make songs of such high quality. "YOURS FOREVER" is another very strong cut in every aspect of it, love it too. Three interludes are included as well: "PASSION", "SNAP ALONG" and "WHY". To icing the cake, a stunning remix of "HERE WE GO AGAIN" is added as a bonus. It would be hard to ask for any more!!, because "PORTRAIT" is a complete package, a fresh album, sounding real sweet..totally!!. Very highly recommended to all who loves real awesome music, your collection will be graced by it.One lingering question..I truly thought that they would be much more successful than this.. they have the talent to make a far greater impact.. but I guess the music business is as unpredictable as it is mysterious..the outcome is unknown..Well it is a real privilege to own this spectacular record and I extend "PORTRAIT" to you as a form of public service...

This is a debut album that absolutely jams from beginning to end.

I got this for that song (which is one of the best rnb songs ever), and honey dip, which is a dope song. the rest is more ballads and slow songs, which they do really well.

This music is true music. You can tell these guys were singing from their hearts. The music had to be true to them at the time because this is such touch to-the-heart type of music. GOOD JOB
